Senior Member SV_08 Posted May 16, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted May 16, 2013 Just out of curiosity, how would doing a cycle of say testosterone affect the outcome of a new hair transplant? Assuming, of course, waiting 3-4 months post op when it is considered 'safe' to start lifting heavy again. My main concern is less about native hair and more about the growth of new grafts. Just trying to get some information. Thanks. HT2 - March, 2013. 2933 grafts. HT1 - June, 2006. 800 grafts.

There are not a lot of studies but many athletes have this complaint. Though your transplanted hair is DHT resistant it seems to be very ill advised to consider taking anabolic steroids following your transplant. It is not advisable to take these potent hormones unless medically required. There are many risk far beyond damaging your HT! All the Best, Michael. And there is a entire lobby, a community who dont think that way. They would not listen to anything like that. There is a strong belief eveything done right in a right manner is ok. God knows how is playing with Human Hormones safe anyways !!
