Senior Member SV_08 Posted March 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) Still trying to figure out how to address my temple points. Was experimenting with photoshop to see how it might look. Obviously this is just a sample. It would look more natural coming from the doctor. Any thoughts? Anyone else try this? *edit: I will be going in for a large procedure - around 2400 grafts total. This is just a sample of how I am thinking of adding to my temple points, in addition to the rest. Senior Member chrisdav Posted March 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2013 Have you already had a surgery Spiral? 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.
Senior Member SV_08 Posted March 20, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2013 Yes. A small procedure in 2006. 800 grafts into hairline. I am scheduled to get my 2nd HT very soon. Senior Member Jotronic Posted March 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2013 Personally, I think you shouldn't touch those temple points. They're perfect as they are. Are you basing that on the 'before' photos? I guess its just 'hair greed'. I really like the way the LEFT temple came out after editing it a bit. If it could look that way after surgery I would be very happy. HT2 - March, 2013. 2933 grafts. HT1 - June, 2006. 800 grafts.
Senior Member Raj Jayukdht Posted March 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2013 I agree, what you are showing us will have little effect. Apart from the temples, you planning to have grafts inserted else where?? formerly know as Jayukdht http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177363-hair-transplant-dr-bhatti-oct-14-part-2-procedure.html

Apart from the temples, you planning to have grafts inserted else where?? Yes sir... aiming for around 2400 grafts. Maybe more if we can get it. Will be placed from the hairline through the front half. No crown. Figured while I was under the knife, I would address the temple points. *Pic attached has water/gel so looks a little thinner than when dry. HT2 - March, 2013. 2933 grafts. Senior Member Raj Jayukdht Posted March 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2013 By looking at your pic, I think you should be able to get about 2500 in their. Leave you temples for now, save grafts for top of scalp. So when you say "under the knife"..Im guessing its FUT? formerly know as Jayukdht http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177363-hair-transplant-dr-bhatti-oct-14-part-2-procedure.html
Senior Member Jotronic Posted March 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2013 Two things I see wrong with that left temple point. First, if you have it beefed up like in the photo then you'll need to lower the hairline to compensate. It will be out of balance. The temple point and the hairline have to have a certain balance to look right and this does not. Second, you used Photoshop to extend the finer hairs at the front of your existing temple point to make up the result. Problem is, you won't have these finer hairs to transplant. Most likely the donor hair will be more coarse thus you run the risk of a slightly unnatural result. Just say'in but again I think you should leave them alone as there is zero cosmetic benefit to fixing something that ain't broke:) The Truth is in The Results Dr. Victor Hasson and Dr. Jerry Wong are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians
Senior Member hairthere Posted March 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2013 I agree, your tps are fine. (And this is coming from someone who has had his TPs addressed twice.) I would perhaps close off those temple corners a tad instead. I hadn't really thought about that until now. Thanks for the heads up. Its hard to tell from the pics, but my Left temple is much more receded than my Right. Its a lot more obvious in person, and something that bothers me. I guess I was hoping to try to 'fix' it a bit. At the very least even it out some. Also hard to tell, but the left side of my hairline sits higher than my right. This was from my last HT. I plan on lowering the left side a bit to even that out as well. Senior Member Jotronic Posted March 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 20, 2013 Well, the good thing is that having one temple point further back than the other is no different than most any other male on the planet. Most have right side recession more than the left but regardless, this is normal for men even without real hair loss. Glad I could help out:) The Truth is in The Results Dr. Victor Hasson and Dr. Jerry Wong are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians
Senior Member rev3 Posted March 22, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 22, 2013 the more you beef up those temple points the further the temple angle recession looks your points (the triangles close to the ear) look fine they do not look recessed much i think the deep temple angles are throwing you off it's these temple angles that can be closed up to be more in balance with your points great photoshop
