Senior Member steve0580 Posted December 28, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 28, 2012 My guess would be somewhere in the area of 2500-3500 grafts.
Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted December 28, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 28, 2012 Sharan, Are you asking what it would take to transform a NW 2 to that hairline? Senior Member Cant decide Posted December 30, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 30, 2012 No ethical doc would transplant a NW 2 to a hairline that low. If your a NW 2 and 40 plus years old with a great family history then maybe. However to transplant a hairline that low could definitely be trouble if hair loss progresses. Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted December 30, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 30, 2012 Sharan, That individual possesses a fairly juvenile hairline, and I'm not sure it's something a surgeon would want to mimic with hair transplantation. From a strictly mathematical standpoint, I'd say it would take roughly 1,900 to 2,100 grafts. However, this is using (in my head) somewhere around 55 grafts/sq cm, and that individual's density is likely a lot higher (80-90+). Senior Member Cant decide Posted December 30, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 30, 2012 I don't think you understand hair transplantation (density, etc) that one can achieve and should expect. Senior Member Spanker Posted December 30, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 30, 2012 I feel that my transplant is similar to this. My corners may be a little higher. I was a NW2 to 2.5 and had 2100 grafts. I don't know that I feel that this guy has a crazy low hairline, but it prolly shouldnt go lower. Senior Member Cant decide Posted January 2, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 2, 2013 Believe me, you do not.... Keep researching and forget about a NW I hairline. Regular Member sharan9895 Posted January 3, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 3, 2013 Believe me, you do not.... Keep researching and forget about a NW I hairline. Even i won't opt for such a low hairline... I was just wondering about the density..... What if he transplanted 4000 follicles with a slight higher hairline .... that would have looked much better...
