.....the general cutoff for hair transplant surgery? I know that doctors will make assessments on a case by case basis.....but in general, what happens after 25 years old that makes it the general cutoff age?

I think 25 is more an average. Some 22-24 years old maybe a candidate for HT's, while some 26-28 year olds might not be. It probably depends more on how clear the balding pattern is. Most men 25 and under don't have a clear idea on how their future hair loss will be.

25 is just an arbitrary number as far as I'm concerned. But aaron is right that if you were to speak in generalizations, it is a pretty decent number as far as numbers go for making a guideline on what is/isn't an "ideal" age.

Also it has been determined that the male mind isnt as capable of making decisions that could affect the future until 25 onwards, of course this varies from person to person, but in my experience I believe there to be some truth in it.
