Senior Member Cant decide Posted November 15, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 15, 2012 I was thinking that it would seem a very good use of SMP would be in HT patients who want their part line to look denser. Parting in a line helps to sweep the hair over and aid in the the shingling effect. However, the downside is that it could expose more scalp at the part line than is desired. I dont have this problem today but was just wondering if anyone used SMP to thicken up the part line? Senior Member Jotronic Posted November 17, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 17, 2012 One of the areas that shows the true lack of REAL density is in the part line. Having SMP in the part line helps to increase the illusion of density and does not expose the part line any more than without SMP. The number of dots mimics the exit point of hairs and it works quite well. Senior Member Spanker Posted May 5, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 5, 2015 Good idea. Although the older you get the farther over your part line is acceptable. Wait 20 years and part front your donor area. :-P I am an online representative for Dr. Raymond Konior who is an elite member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians.
