Hi Guys ,

I need a lot of prayers  as I am finally doing my HT .

I am doing it with Dr. Radha..She seems really sweet when I speak with her. I am simply expecting a hairline ..

Sorry I took off some of my bald pics.. But I replaced them with pics where I have two lovely ladies with me..

My Mother - Who I have been fighting with forever and despite all that she is still with me in Vizag going through the whole ht ordeal with me.

My sister - Who encouraged me to go through for this HT because she realised how low my confidence had become.

I do owe much to this forum coz I was able to quickly scan a specialist and get the job done. so Thanks guys !

HI ... I wasnt sure how many grafts I would be able to get.. I wanted a decent hairline apart from filling the rest of the area.

radha is amazing like all you guys said in terms of friendliness, hospitality and overall service.

She is fantastic......... in terms of servicing.

Grafts - She said my donor hair is very good and super thick and was expecting a decent amount .. But also said she would tkae a strip out in such a way that later on I did not have trouble stitching it back lest the scar would be huge.

She was aiming for 3800 grafts or so..... surprise surprise .. She got 4275 grafts.....

During the surgery, I was so restless,,, she gave me several of her sleeping pills and I wasnt able to sleep at all... kept moving ..... after a while I was upset with the Bangkok lady who kept sternly asking me stay put... One put I woke up and said IM GOING FORGET THE TRANSPLANT. When Dr. Radha got angry , then I said I am angry , I told her doctor just put me to sleep because the medications are not helping .

They did..... Not only has she made me a decent hairline ..... she has also filled in 90 per cent of my whole bald area with high density...... Only part she says is missing is the back of the crown where hair is still there but thinning out..... she says maybe in a year or two I can do that asl well.

Scar - When I took a pic of my scar it looked a little big... I was scared.. She told me unlike other people's scalp , LAXITY of my scalp is high that she was easily able to stitch it back . The only problem being that since my skin is so malleable , its possible that the stretching of my easily stretchable scar could increase it from 1 mm to even 3 mm. but isnt sure yet.

my mother saw the transplant areas and is highly imprssed... Now only waiting.

UNTIL NOW, REVIEW IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC , I dont know if you would agree, but I am going back from here VERY VERY HAPPY!

Hi,

I couldn't totally understand your post... Did you have a disagreement with the surgeon during the surgery? I had problems during the surgery because I couldn't sleep as well and I got a bit restless but I didn't have any issues with Doctor Radha at all (she was quite patient with me). The staff were quite good to deal with as well.

Anyway, I'm glad that the hair transplant procedure went well in the end.

Regards

Rod

Sorry Rod... was too excited so havent typed the experience all too well!

What I am saying is the service and Dr. Radha was amazing. and I was restless lying in one position somuch I kept moving my legs.

Finally in the end , I requested them to put me to sleep else I couldnt hold on since there were four more hours to go. they had to get someone to give me total anaesthesia because I could not NOT move and it was hindering the process.

But Dr. Radha was and has been TOTALLY Fantastic throughout ... Btw.... I am staying currently in the Budhil Hotel Park , and it sucks man, warm water is never avaialble I struggled for theinternet for days and the location outside is unbearable. lol.

But it is actually after reading your review Rod that I went ahead with this..So thank you , as it was about time I did this. I couldnt deal with living with no hair anymore.

Congrats on your HT with Dr.Radha.

I was at Radha's clinic exactly on your HT day, as i came for a general check-up after 2months.

However i couldn't see you as you were in a different room. :-)

I hope everything went well for you..and i would advice you to be patient and relax until 7 or 8months without worrying too much.

All the very best and Happy growing..

Congrats man. You got great number of grafts. Can you give more details of singles, doubles and triples.

With that many grafts being think you will really look great.

I certainly hope so.. My main focus when I went there was to focus on the hairline and the frontal area. I was ready to work on the backside much later.

Dr. Radha ,at first very politely declined that she never creates a too low hairline for anyone because it looks rather unnatural. I was dissappointed but then I asked her what if she got a lot of hair grafts???

When I came in the next day she drew a much more pleasing hairline for me than she had done before. ......and I already knew my donor hair was huge... as my original hair was so thick , it ws just so shocking when it all started going with all the teenage years of abuse through coloring , perming, etc. etc. I had done.

I will ask Dr. Radha about hte number of single, double , multiple grafts she found.. and some of the pictures she clicked as well. THanks...

But someone show me how to delete my previous pics.. I dont want them on here for ever....

I hope you get a great yield buddy. I can already picture you looking 10-15 years younger easily with hair on your frontal part.

Lol@adam - Thanks but I dont think its quite possible to look 13 years old again .... im 28 now.... but I do understand your statement is meant to be a compliment and encouraging ..... so love you for that ...:D

All the best with the results.....you are lucky in the sense that you had ample donor hairs. I had just undergone HT but couldnt get ample grafts still the doctor drew a decent hairline....now on recovery path.

Luckily during the process, I slept partially, partially I abstained from moving around.....the procedure was smooth....

All the best to you again....

:)hi guys... i was wondering and needed to ask you a question.

it has been 9 days ? and I was wondering when the scabs start falling because mine have not started falling yet. Is this good or bad ? i know if the scabs fall quicker there is risk of more hair falling out.. but what if the scabs stay for longer than say a month ? will that also damage the follicles. ?

I take a shower and put water really gently on my scalp. do I need to start rubbing my scalp already or should i just continue doing the gentle stuff ?

I am really happy with the scar line radha has made... its fine enough not to look ugly at all

Hi,

Post operative instructions as provided by DHT Clinic.

DHT Clinic

You should do a bit more research regarding how your HT is going to progress in the coming months. On occasions first time HT patients, needlessly, stress themselves out because they are not fully informed regarding how a HT progresses.

There is plenty of information on this website and I'd suggest doing some research in the coming weeks.

Cheers Rod

Actually I do have the post op info given my the staff... Its just not enough .... I have a lot many questions which they do not answer .

1) I have a little puss in the start of the scar on the left everytime i touch the area there is pus and blood coming out. I spoke to Dr. Radha she says no medication is necessary. and it should flatten out soon . but I am scared. Its been more than two weeks.

2) I want to know if I should use propecia. Since my bald patch was quite bad, Dr. Radha is quite encouraging about the fact that the transplanted hair will not be lost.. because its from the permanent zone area. So I am sceptical about using it . I have had a very bad experience with minox in the past. I dont want to get into that torture again with the severe dandruff I suffered from . and the immense hairloss once I quit minoxidil.

3) Also my scabs are coming out now..... and the strands are still on ... they havent come off. So I dont know if thats a natural procedure. Dr. Radha is a busy lady. She isnt able to answer my questions on a regular basis and I do not wish to trouble her constantly.

I am hopeful the people on this forum will help me with my queries.

Dear raul,

The minoxidil has the same effect on me, but now I am using it only once a day on alternate days to keep away the effect.

Also, I am taking propecia/finasteride twice every week to keep away the side effects.

I don't know whether the above will help but still trying.

My scabs also fallen out but strands remain, some strands went away, Dr. Radha has said all transplanted hair will off now, its been complete 1 month since HT.

cheers

Hi,

I had a minor issue when I returned to Australia and Doctor Radha was prompt with my enquiry. Many questions can be answered by researching her website or this forum. Also another good resource is is DHT Clinic because it has lots of post op information.

If you have puss in you donor scar you should go to your local GP and get him to check it out.

Hi

1) Some times its common to find pus in donor area or recipient area. I had pus boil @ my transplanted graft. But it went off after 4 days. So no issues. My advice is never touch your hair with unclean hands. Hands may carry staphylococcus aureus bacteria which when enters inside skin can cause infection and pus. Always wash with anti-bacterial soap before you touch your scalp. You can take mild antibiotic like "Doxycycline" that should solve your problem quickly. Just check with local doctor or Radha if needed.

2) I too dont like minoxidil much because it some times accumulates dirt on scalp and forms layers of dirt if not properly washed. Its up to you again.

3) common and thats how the process works.

Most of the questions can be answered by our forum members. Unless its not properly answered or emergency, you can contact your doctor.

Hope this helps. Looking for your updated pics soon

I didnt have a problem with Tugain foam. Feels normal. Pimples/Boils are very common sight for the first 2 months on me . It used to go away after a few days.

You will look like u never had a HT aka Ugly duckling for the next 2 months. As Rod once told me stop looking in the mirror for the next 3 months ....Trust me helps a lot :)
