sheepead
Just looking for some general advice. I've been on propecia for just over a week and have been suffering from ball ache. Now I'm aware that this was a potential side effect and was just looking for other peoples experiences. It's not painful but more annoying than anything and has been happening since day 2. I'm now at day 9. It comes and goes and I've suffered no other sides. Obviously hoping that it's just my body getting used to it and that it will subside. Any help would be much appreciated. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted June 25, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 25, 2012 Yup, I had that. Almost quit the drug but then at two weeks everything felt normal again. I've been on it six years and haven't felt the pain since the first two weeks. sheepead
Thanks Spex/Aaron. I'm gonna ride it out for at least a month. Obviously the mind is a powerful thing and it's easy to let it run wild.
Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted June 25, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 25, 2012 Sheep, Looks like you're received some good replies on the thread. However, I do highly recommend consulting with a trusted physician about the side effect. While it does seem normal, it's probably best to meet, discuss the issue, and come up with a medication plan. Senior Member Jotronic Posted June 25, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 25, 2012 I agree with Future HT however speak to a Doc who understands and knows the drug otherwise you are fighting a loosing battle. MANY doctors know very little if anything about the drug. Gain an informed opinion is all im saying if speaking to a doc. sheepead
I get my fin on the NHS. My doctor is very understanding but don't think he has vast knowledge on the drug. I expect him to tell me to try reducing the dosage like spex advised. And also that he made me aware of potential side effects like this etc. I'm gonna give it another few day and maybe speak to him Friday on my day off. Thank you for all of the replies.
