P90X Thread

I just finished my first round of P90X and I'm starting a second round this week. Anybody else use this program? I definitely saw some good results - although I wish I got a six-pack in the process. Hopefully this time around.

I have a few friends who completed the program and really liked it. I did "Insanity" for a while (because I couldn't make it to the gym before it closed each day) and liked it, but it seems like P90X better incorporates the intense cardio with some weight training.

Good luck!

When you say your first "round" do u mean your first 90 day cycle? If you completed the 90 days then congrats it is a tough program! I have been waiting for a rib cage injury to heal to start the program... it is taking forever.

How many pull ups were you able to do before the program amd how many can you do now?

@stagger. Yes! I did a full 90 day cycle (with about 3-5 missed days). I feel this should become a lifestyle not just a 3 month fling, so I'm now on Day 2 of my second round. Sorry about your rib injury. What I would do is find whatever workouts from the program you can do without aggravating your injury and get to know them well. But healing ribs can be painful no matter what exercise you do.

@Blake. I think you are right. Cardio is a very big part of P90X. I hear Insanity is tougher - so if I ever do that program it will probably be after I've completed P90X 3 or 4 times.

I completed P90x as well, its a great program expecially for dropping tons of body fat. It's great to not have to go to the gym as well. I am on my second round but I have custimized the progam a lot this time around, trying to pack on more muscle. Congrats on making it through, its a kick in the balls the first time through, lol. I had some of my meathead friends give it a try and they couldn't hang.

hey greatjob... yeah, it's a great program. I look toned and cut now but not exactly ripped. Customizing for me is skipping the plyometrics! :D

Good luck this second round. I'm in my second week and it's still tough.
