Is it normal to get them on the donor scar as I have noticed a few lately, more so since I have been using Bio Oil. Thanks HT No1 : Nobel clinic, Gatwick 500 grafts - Terrible result, left with bumpy skin HT No2 : Marwan Saifi 1680 grafts. Great result HT No3 - Marwan Saifi 1250 grafts. Another good result. Dr. Glenn Charles Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 Pimples in the donor area usually occurs when hairs are caught within the donor incision. It is also more common when a trichophytic closure is used. Not sure if the oils are contributing to the problem. The recipient area pimples are hairs attempting to break the surface (and eventually they will). Like Dr Charles said, this can happen with trichophytic closure. The wound was closed with the intention for hairs to grow through the scar so sometimes they might have a little trouble, but they'll "break on through to the other side" before long.
