Senior Member NEWHAIRPLEASE Posted October 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted October 20, 2011 Why I'm I so nervous to let anyone other than Dr Rahal take out my sutures? Only problem is, I live in Arkansas, which means Id have to stay for 14 days or fly back to Canada for a suture removal...someone ease my anxieties about this please! Newhairplease!! Senior Member multiplier Posted October 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted October 20, 2011 I got my sutures removed from a little doc-in-a-box urgent care place here in my town in VA after getting surgery all the way in MN, and it went fine. Removing sutures isn't difficult for doctors and nurses. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted October 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted October 20, 2011 Agreed! There is really nothing to it. Call your GP's office and ask if they will do it for you. Senior Member orlhair1 Posted October 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted October 20, 2011 I was nervous about that too. I had staples and it really turned out to be a piece of cake. You can go to your local doc to have them removed or a local walk in clinic. No need to stay. In my situation, Dr. Shapiro set me up with someone in Orlando to remove them, but really any doctor's office can do it just fine. Senior Member hairthere Posted October 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted October 20, 2011 Sutures are a cakewalk to remove especially compared to staples. Karamikian used sutures and he had some young med student remove them. Dr. Feller used staples and they're a bit tougher coming out. Senior Member Capelli11 Posted October 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted October 20, 2011 I'm very nervous too...I don't want ANYTHING going wrong especially since I just spent a ton on my HT with Rahal...so I am going to drive back (about 7-9) hours to get them removed...it may sound crazy but u know what I am NOT taking any chances...think about it...u spend sooo much time and money on this procedure and then your gonna have some other person take out ur sutures...this may be a very standard procedure but i'm not chancing it. Not worth it to me. -HT with Dr. Rahal- December 2011- 4,616 grafts FUT Check out my website updates: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2225 My HT write up: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164084-my-hair-transplant-dr-rahal-4-600-fut-write-up-pics.html My FOXBAR write up: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164085-my-foxbar-write-up-dr-rahal-4-600-fut.html

Senior Member mattj Posted October 20, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted October 20, 2011 You might only trust Dr Rahal with your HT, but you can be a lot less choosy with who removes your staples. I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal.
