Why I'm I so nervous to let anyone other than Dr Rahal take out my sutures? Only problem is, I live in Arkansas, which means Id have to stay for 14 days or fly back to Canada for a suture removal...someone ease my anxieties about this please!

I got my sutures removed from a little doc-in-a-box urgent care place here in my town in VA after getting surgery all the way in MN, and it went fine. Removing sutures isn't difficult for doctors and nurses.

Jan 2000 - 600 FUT with Dr Kurgis (MHR)

Sept 2011 - 1411 FUT with Dr Paul Shapiro

Jan 2013 - 1800 FUT with Dr Paul Shapiro

Sep 2014 - 1000 FUE with Dr Paul Shapiro

Some members have even removed the staples themselves. Any ol doc will be just fine.

I was nervous about that too. I had staples and it really turned out to be a piece of cake. You can go to your local doc to have them removed or a local walk in clinic. No need to stay. In my situation, Dr. Shapiro set me up with someone in Orlando to remove them, but really any doctor's office can do it just fine.

Sutures are a cakewalk to remove especially compared to staples. Karamikian used sutures and he had some young med student remove them. Dr. Feller used staples and they're a bit tougher coming out.

I'm very nervous too...I don't want ANYTHING going wrong especially since I just spent a ton on my HT with Rahal...so I am going to drive back (about 7-9) hours to get them removed...it may sound crazy but u know what I am NOT taking any chances...think about it...u spend sooo much time and money on this procedure and then your gonna have some other person take out ur sutures...this may be a very standard procedure but i'm not chancing it. Not worth it to me.

A local chimpanzee can also remove them for you at no charge.
