Regular Member BlondHead Posted August 25, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted August 25, 2011 I havent seen this question asked before but i have been looking at my recent transplant. I am pleased with the outcome sofar (4 1/2 months). If i shine a light at an angle to my scalp where the transplant was done i see hundreds-thousands of very very small (fluffy) white hairs. Im just wondering are these hairs that will grow into full hair or is it just fluff that will stay as fluff. Ive seen some on my forehead aswell which makes me think that it is just fluff that wont grow.
Senior Member aaron1234 Posted August 25, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 25, 2011 Not sure. Could be miniaturized hairs that you are about lose due to male pattern baldness. Or it could be the transplanted hairs that just sprouted and are underdeveloped at this point. Your doctor would probably be able to tell. Dr. Glenn Charles
Most likely it is a combination of vellous hairs and some of the new transplanted hairs. What color is the your hair? Vellous hairs usually are non pigmented and look loke peach fuzz. Regular Member BlondHead Posted August 26, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 26, 2011 Thanks for the reply aaron and Dr Charles Ya it is kinda like peach fuzz. I was just curious to what it was and if it would grow. Its a wonder there is'nt something out there to make it into normal hair.
