4 months down and I'm starting to see some growth. Hope the center of the crown fills out a bit more

Thanks. I believe prices have gone up but at the time before Christmas it was €1.5 a graft. i think they are €2 now. I had to pay a few hundred more because i was told doing work on the old FUT scar cost a little more. (i had 200 grafts put into the scar)

3 months down. I think there is some small growth. The before and after are in different lighting. But hopefully it will start to kick off from now on. Its great when you are back at least where you started so you can start to enjoy new growth.

2 months down. So hopefully new growth should start to kick in. Nothing exciting to report yet, except the original hair prior to the HT is coming back I think I'm seeing some small hair growth in the crown.

1 month after HT. I hope most of the shedding is done by now. the original hair is starting to grow. Hopefully the next few months start to see some progress

Ya hopefully it all works out OK. I will ask the Dr about the nape area and get her opinion. Il keep everyone updated. Not many blond hair transplant results on the forums so hopefully it can help some people. Im glad to answer any questions people may have.

14 days post ops pictures

Id just like to give my review and experience of my HT with Dr Ozlem Bicer. This is my second HT. My first was back in 2011 which i was happy with at the time. But as we all know time moves on and the hair continues to disappear. This time i was looking at improving my hairline, crown and do a bit of FUT scar repair. Prior to the HT I had dealings with both Dr Ozlem Bicer and her assistant Özen. Communication was good. I had been thinking about getting the second HT for a few months so when i contacted Dr Ozlem Bicer there was a waiting list out to about 5 months. I asked to be put on a cancelation list and that i could travel at short notice. Luckily i got a cancelation for the 28th of December so flew out on the 27th, surgery on the 28th, and traveled back on the 29th. I got the VIP package which included airport taxi and hotel that is right next to Dr Bicers office. The hotel was very nice. When i arrived in the surgery in the morning i was met by Ozen. I had to sign and read a lot of paperwork. One bit of advice for them would be to send on the documents prior to the day so you can have some proper time to read them instead of rushing though it on the morning of the surgery. Next i met with Dr Ozlem Bicer. As she states on her site and the forums, I can confirm from my experience she only takes one patient a day which is nice for the patient. We discussed the hairline crown and FUT scar repair. My initial hope was to fully do the crown but after a talk I think it made sense to give more density to the hairline (most people will see the hairline). The crown still received many grafts. Maybe in the future I will have to touch up the crown again. Local anesthetic was applied, this was the only painful part of the process, you get over the pain quick enough. Dr Bicer completed the graft extraction and incisions herself. The assistants did the placement of the grafts. Dr Bicer called in occasionally to supervise the placement. It was a long day for all the staff. Approximately 9am in the morning to 8pm when i left the building. I was in the zone and was on a mission so was ok with the boredom. The next morning they removed the bandage and we reviewed the surgery. I believe everything went well (time will tell). Overall the it was good experience. If I can get the results I have seen from her other patients I have seen on the various forums ill be very happy. The details are Age 39 Total grafts 3780 Holes 3010 Single: 2300 Double: 710 Multiple: 770 Hairline: ~2100 Crown: ~1460 FUT Scar repair: ~250

Thanks for the reply aaron and Dr Charles Ya it is kinda like peach fuzz. I was just curious to what it was and if it would grow. Its a wonder there is'nt something out there to make it into normal hair.

I havent seen this question asked before but i have been looking at my recent transplant. I am pleased with the outcome sofar (4 1/2 months). If i shine a light at an angle to my scalp where the transplant was done i see hundreds-thousands of very very small (fluffy) white hairs. Im just wondering are these hairs that will grow into full hair or is it just fluff that will stay as fluff. Ive seen some on my forehead aswell which makes me think that it is just fluff that wont grow.

Hi Tankndozer I have been reading the forums for a while now and like yourself after some long research i decided to go to Dr Devroye 2 1/2 months ago for a transplant. Ive noticed recently on the forum alot of less than happy customers after HT's, so its nice to see a great result especially from the same Doctor i went to. If i get the same results as yourself i will be thrilled. Best of luck with your future growth.

Thanks lookingforht, im looking forward to having more hair. I chose FUT because of a few factors. I understood that the yield from FUE is not as good as FUT. And i wanted the best possible yield. Also the amount of grafts i required would have been out of my budget for FUE. The strip scar doesnt bother me aswell.

Sounds interesting. But dont all these drugs require years of testing? Or has that testing been done?

I dont know if you are allowed post links but you can googel ARTAS, it looks like it might speed up FUE procedures and make it cheaper. "ARTAS is an interactive, computer assisted system utilizing image-guided robotics to enhance the quality of hair follicle harvesting. Through its design and ease-of-use, ARTAS has the potential to solve most of the technical challenges inherent in the manual FUE technique. The System is operated under the direction of a physician" I was wondering do any doctors know of it and thinking of investing in it for thier practice

My Early Hair transplant experience (6/4/2011) Dr Jean devroye My first hair transplant surgery with Dr Jean Devroye was an experience. I should first say I am around a 3V on the Norwood scale. It was a 3 day visit to Brussels. On the first day I met with Dr Devroye for the consultation. It was a short visit, His first question was “would I like to shave my recipient area or not?”. I asked him the advantages and disadvantages of both. I decided that shaving would probably be the best option, (Dr Devroye was not biased toward doing either it was completely my decision). Shaving the head makes it easier for the doctors to work on your transplant. He drew the hairline he was thinking of and asked me what I thought. I was pleased with it and so was my girlfriend. The next morning I had a big breakfast and went to the clinic at 8am. Once all the staff arrived they got straight down to business, they took the before pictures shaved the recipient area and drew a hairline and started on the anaesthesia. This is the worst part with the needles but was skilfully done by Antony. They offered me some valium but I didn’t bother taking it. (im not a fan of taking pills if there is no need). Dr Devroye removed the stip. The sensation of the removal of the donor strip is hard to explain. It’s painless but there is a feeling that something is going on. With the strip removed they sent it off to be split into grafts. The donor area was stitched up while some temporary staples were placed in as well (staples were removed the next day). Next my recipient area was prepared by Dr Devroye where he used some special tools that were developed by “hasson and wong” By the time Dr Devroye had prepared the recipient area the first set of grafts were ready to be implanted. A test graft was done, once that was ok they started implanting the grafts. It was discovered that they had to place the grafts with a space in-between each graft because of popping. They went over the spaces later after the grafts had settled. After approximately 30min lunch was ready. We had a break for lunch for ~20-30min. The first estimate for the amount of grafts was around 2414. For the next few hours it was place a quarter of the grafts and take a break and so on. By the end of the session a total of 3086 grafts were planted. It was a long day from about 8am to 8pm. The whole team were great, there was never any felling that they were trying to speed up to get the procedure finished. It was a successful day altogether. Some after pictures were taken and then Dr Devroye dropped me back to the hotel where the long night of spraying my head with saline solution began. I set my phone alarm to go off every 30min. I may have had a few min sleep in-between some of the 30min sprays. The clinic supplied me with everything, a neck rest so I could sit up comfortably in bed and a hat so I could make way down to the clinic the next morning without feeling self conscious of my shaven head. On the final day i called down to the clinic to get the grafts examined and the staples removed by Dr Devroye. Everything looked good. I will upload the pictures once I receive them from the clinic. Hope everything goes well! I will keep people up to date on my progress. FU1: 431, FU2: 1229, FU3: 1120, FU4: 264 Total grafts: 3086 Total Hairs: 7455
