seeking-hair
My girlfriend took some photos of my head. I'm 42 years old and want some hair where i have lost it. It is very thin in front and i have a lot of scalp without hairs in the front and have lost some in the back area. I put rogaine on my scalp every day and my regular doctor put me on Propecia 2 years ago. Those meds have actually gotten some hair back (happy about that), but I'm considering adding to make it look like I have more hair at the front. Should I also wait to see if the medications do more for the front and wait another year? If I did do hair transplants, how many would be good? I just want to know what people think at this stage. I appreciate people's input. Thanks.
Regular Member mick reno Posted August 12, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted August 12, 2011 I am not a doctor, but I've been researching for a very long time now and I would say you most likely are. You should do some research and make some appointments for consultations with some of the coalition doctors recommended by this community.
Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted August 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) You do seem like a good candidate about a 4A in the Norwood stages. It seems like your donor looks good and you can do somewhere between 2500-3000 grafts to the frontal 1/3. Edited August 12, 2011 by Thehairupthere I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. These opinions are my own. Dr. Robert True and Dr. Robert Dorin are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians
