futbol9,

The grafts appear to be planted very far from each other, even in the frontal third and especially in the back. Did Dr. Meshkin give you a reason for this type of planting? It certainly won't do much for density. The grafts also appear larger than normal. I don't mean to cause you alarm and I hope you grow well. I just don't understand the thought process behind this work.

Yeah, looking at your area, I would expect to need a second pass. That is quite a big area for that number of grafts, as long as get good growth, it shouldn't be an issue. Good luck.

thank you guys for your comments. I told dr. meshkin that my main focous was my frontal third of my scalp. I guess he saw I needed some grafts in the back too so he placed some there . actually I am kind of happy by the way he spread out the grafts, because that is where would of told him to place them too:) as you can see in my before pics I was not compleately bald on my fromtal third and specially in the rest of my head, so I am happy he placed some grafts there too.

Thank you aaroon. I will keep you posted. Does that looks like 3020 grafts? I emails dr. Meshkin so he can tell me where he place all the one's, two's, three's etc.... FroM

What I remember he said he placed the one's grafts in my hairline to achieve a more natural look. Then he place the two's. And so on. To be honest I was not expecting any grafts beyond my frontal third of my scalp. When I saw the final results I was kindda happy he placed some in my mid scalp and my crown where my hair was thinning a little bit too. However now that you mentioned the grafts look too far apart, you got me thinking:(. Dont you think he placed them like that because he did not want to damage my existing hairs? If the grafts he transplanted grow with the onces I already had I think I will look ok. Let me know what you guys think

hello I hope you are doing well , it looks like you are healing well. I just wanted to make a comment since I felt some of the comments here have made you think as you said. Each Doctor has their own style of hair transplant and no two Doctor does their work exactly the same and that is what makes them unique in their own way. If for some reason the style we use is not what some one likes then they go to a doctor they prefer to do their work. However, at the end of the day it is the final result that counts. most of our patients that come to us see our before and after work and see what we can do with for example 3000 grafts and they get very impressed and that is why they choose us. Of coarse they can go to another doctor and have 6000 grafts done and pay three times as much and have the same results. It is their choice and they choose the style of the doctor that they go to for their transplant. But again at the end of the day it is the final result that counts. So Please do not worry and do not rush into any judment because our style of work is not to someone' s liking. Lets all have patience and see in a few months what happens.

Hi,

I hope you are well and thanks for your comments about Dr. Meshkin and his staff :) , we are glad you had a nice experience with us. Dr. Meshkin already responded to your concern via email. However, do not worry sometimes some native hair falling off is normal it will grow out in a few weeks. The transplaned hair that is attached to the follicles also detaches from the follicles and falls off with the scabs and that is normal too. The follicles will remain and will start to grow out in three to four months. And yes we are also excited to see your full grown out result.....keep on posting

Hi again Ana and thank you for your response. I have a few questions maybe you can help me out. in the instructions dr meshkin gave me it says I have to use witch hazel and neosporine on my scar for 14 days after my surgery. Do I keep using these two products on my scar and for how long, also can I star doing regular cardio like I used to? what about weight lifting? Also can I cut my hair really short with the clippers? do I keep shampooing my head twice a day? As you can see I have a lot of questions. Should I call dr meshkin? I do not want to bother him every time a have a question? Well let me know. Thank you

Hello I been reading a lot about people freaking out because they were picking at their scabs. I started picking at some of my scabs with my finger nails after the 12 th day of my surgery. I have done this in a gentle manner though. However Iam afraid I did some damage already to my grafts. I removed some of the crust with my nails and sometimes just the crust came off with no hairs and some other ones the crust came out with hairs. No blood or nothing just the crust and the hairs. I won't be picking at them no more, but I would like to know if I maybe damage some of my grafts by picking at them with my finger nails? Thank you

Hi,

I hope you are well. You should have a follow up visit scheduled by next week. That is when we check every thing to make sure it is healed properly and then let you know about weight lifting and so on. If you have a lot of unanswered questions please contact Dr. Meshkin and he will go over all your questions and concerns. You have his direct number on the post op sheet. And btw it is ok to pick on your scabs, but when you come for your follow up visit we will clean all the scabs for you. Have a nice 4th of July weekend.

Thank you Ana for your help. I already talked to someone from dr. Meshkins office and they answered all my questions ready:). by the eat I received your message about not using neosporine any more, but I can keep using witch hazel for another week right? I believed the lady I spoke to told me to use witch hazel for one more week. Today is my 16th day after my transplant. I forgot to ask her if I can drink alcohol? Iam a social drinker and like to drink once in a while on the weekends. I will be posting pics tomorrow so u guys can see how Iam doing and if everything looks ok. Thank you very much for all your support and help.

guys here is my 17th day post op. Let me know what you guys think please. in one of the pics I drew a red line around one of my temples where dr meshkin put hair. as you can see in my before pics I did not have any hair in that area. I read before that in 2 to 4 weeks your hair will look like you had it before the hair transplant do to shedding (bald again). in the picture with the red line you can see clearly that I have less hair there than on top. is this do the shedding or when my hair grows back (1 year)this is how it will be, thiner in that area just as it looks in this picture? by the way thanks to all the people that is been supporing me and answering all my questions:)
