Guest wanthairs
devernisy...... I am sorry to say, but it looks like your Doctor did a terrible job, that may result in a "corn row" appearance. Firstly 920 is just not enough. You should have gone to USA where many docs do state of the art natural work and plant 3000 or more which is the least amount you would probably have needed. Its not too late at all. wait one year, stay with this internemt forum to learn much more about the procedure, prices etc, and also to see how this result turned out. I hope I am totally wrong, but it looks like very poor quality out of date work. Please guys, can some of the more knowledgable ones chime in here.........Also, make sure you get on finasteride, 5% monixidil and nizoral shampoo to stabilise your hairloss, in case you havent already. I am really sorry, I just wish I had more positive things to say. Who was your doctor? How much did this cost?
Senior Member MrJobi Posted July 11, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted July 11, 2007 Hi I think the challenge with your surgey is the lack of the "whirl" in the crown which is how natural hair grows in this area. I am assuming this was a FUE procedure ( meaning non strip)? Yes, of course they could have done more grafts I only hope it was FUE and not a strip surgery. You should consider another doctor for your next surgery JOBI 1417 FUT - Dr. True 1476 FUT - Dr. True 2124 FUT - Dr. True 604 FUE - Dr. True My views are based on my personal experiences, research and objective observations. I am not a doctor. Total - 5621 FU's uncut!
devernisy
Thank you both for your comments.....I agree i would have needed more FU in the area and around....hmmm....not very encouraging.....this it not a FUE procedure so Fu where taken from a strip. I m on propecia 2.50 mg for 2 years now so the loss should be under control. I saw 2 doctors before deciding and i picked this one based on the reputation on the clinic here (ABESTHAIR). I will wait until hair regrowth now and will go for a second surgery maybe with another doctor....not easy to find a reliable one........

Senior Member the B spot Posted July 11, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted July 11, 2007 There is a recent patient of Dr. Rose, that shows what 1000 grafts can do when properly placed. However, I would bet that Dr. Rose's patient has 50% less balding area then you do in the crown. You show signs of thinning throughout the entire male pattern. In addition to what I would consider poor work, you should have considered that you need to attack the mid-scalp and vertex areas in order to actually build the crown out properly. It is my opinion that your hair will grow well, but it will look unnatural or "obvious" The Good news--- 920fu's is very minimal AND you found this website. I would plan on spending 10-12K and go for 2500-3500 grafts 2000 to bolster the frontal core/mid-scalp/vertex areas and 500-1000 to disguise your current work. Your already pulling off the receded hairline look so if you take a hop across the pond to someone who can really fix you up, your going to be over the moon. Best of Luck!!! Senior Member NervousNelly Posted July 11, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted July 11, 2007 Devernisy, Don't sweat it. You needed minimum 2 surgeries anyways so the 2nd will get you in good shape and you should be looking like a million $. The key is that you find a top notch physician and unfortunately it is going to cost a few more euros. From what I have seen you are still at this point better off making a trip across the pond. Keep us posted as to how things work out for you. NN NN Dr.Cole,1989. ??graftcount Dr. Ron Shapiro. devernisy
Thank you all. this is a great site for resources and for sharing experiences and results. I m going tommorrow on vacation, will relax, wait few months, observe the growth over the next 3-4 months and will schedule a second transplant after deciding where and with who........if i have to go to the US to do it why not....that will bring back memories as far as I used to live in the US 10 years in NYC......
