  1. In light of Pats decision to ban NG2GB I feel posters should boycott for 2 weeks. Likely I will be considered a "poison" for my creation of this thread so if this happens look for me on other sites. Love ya all like brothers. Bill I feel for ya my friend. I know you are doing all you can and are a good guy. Pat-You need to respect the help that your members provide to this community. I appreciate what you have done and do for all of us bald men/woman, but believe that you need to be gratious for what we also do. If you choose to also ban me, keep in mind you will likely piss off other members, Bspot, Janna, and Dr. Ron Shapiro. I am sure that he would love to see me follow thru with posts of my results. I chose to post this thread in hopes that others will follow and see if it does have an effect on the hits to this site. Possibly then you will truly understand what exactly the value of the membership is worth to you. "I certainly hope that he follows through with his promise. In my opinion, this community does not need ignorant and illiterate fools like him - yet they show up and post" P.S.--Unkind shot at Jupiter.
  2. Very likely something can be done to help you out, but unfortunately it will cost you more money. I had a procedure done 22 years ago and just had work done to hide it. There is hope.
  3. I agree with NW4 but finding the right balance is key. By edging up the hairline just a cm can save 1200 grafts in some cases and this allows the person to get an ideal hairline that frames the face and some added density.
  4. I agree with Bill that I really don't think that you have had a lot of shockloss although it could be the lighting/different hair lengths. I personally think that your mind starts playing some major BS with you at that stage. Is is possible that you hung onto some grafts for a long time and then they finally left? Either way, you'll be dynamite shortly. Keep us posted.
  5. Pat, Although I have already added my 2 cents to this thread, I really hope that you will read the responses and change your mind. To suspend an individual because you had a spat via PM's is not necessarily the right thing to do in my mind. His opinion of only recommending 2 physicians is harmless. How can a person in good faith recommend some of the docs that never post any of their work on this forum? He is not an individual with an agenda to disrupt the natural flow of this forum. You have kicked off others since I have been a member and I certainly can understand why you did. In this particular case it is somewhat bewildering. He has made the effort to spend countless hours on this forum contributing to your business by posting. Likely he has helped send potential patients to the particular physicians that he did endorse(I am sure they are not happy to see their #1 salesperson fired) It is the members that make up this community. We are all going to have our own style and positions but nonetheless it is what makes this a very unique and interesting forum. There is no harm in reevaluating things and allowing him to continue posting. If you don't, he likely is to fall into despair with a life filled with strippers, alcohol and other forms of debotchery. Give the little bald bozo another chance.
  6. Oops I thought I was just thinking that. Ofcourse I am kidding. How do you not like the guy? I certainly did question some off his posts but who didn't? He might not of added tonnes of insight to the forum but he was certainly willing to help others and always provide a much needed laugh. I personally only believe that people should be removed from this site for continuous bullshit that pollutes the forum and not for a couple of statements of opinion.
  7. NG2GB is a prick. He called me a bald Bozo once. His ass should be kicked off of here.
  8. Good to see you around Hairbank! Great question by the way. Thana--did you use a case of nanogen? I have experimented with toppik but never really knew when to stop dumping it on my head. I could understand being in a club or somewhere dark but I would be worried about bright lights as Hairbank pointed out. My buds if they suspected anything would be giving it the flammable test for sure.
  9. Dr. Epstein, Thanks for taking the time for such a well thought out and heart felt response. It is very evident of your passion for what you do. Personally I have always respected your work and sorry that you had to experience this. Forums such as these can at times get a little out of control unfortunately. Hopefully this will quell any further innapropriate comments.
  10. Itsaboutime, I personally like Rahal. He essentially is Armani without all the bullshit. If you are in Toronto, Ottawa is what-3or4 hours away. Very short distance. The price is much cheaper and he is an exceptional guy. Yes this site is going to be biased towards Rahal, but I truly believe that my opinion is not swayed by anything. I love Armanis work and believe he is likely the most talented HT physician on the planet but there is a lot of bad press and I think that he earned most of it. Fue is not proven yet for sessions of that size. If you are in a hurry to have work done I really think that the smart choice is Rahal.
  11. Balody, I know what you are saying, but sometimes you have to just accept and move forward. It does not affect you as you have had a great experience. If people started to slag Dr. Shapiro because of work years ago it might piss me off, but ultimately it doesn't affect me as I have good results and seen many others. If you really really really want, I could do some research for you and provide the proof to justify my choice of words, but I prefer not to.
  12. Balody, I really don't want to go down that road. It is no secret that their past is tarnished. I don't want to put words in someone elses mouth but I believe that Bill, Pat, Bspot, NoBuzz, and Jotronic will all agree with that statement. Let's focus on the now. They are performing much better work. You have had a great experience and look much improved. The more work like yours and others posting and possibly soon the whole arguement will be a thing of the past.
  13. I know that it would be a huge financial outlay. Possibly there would be a consideration if you were to buy 1-2 and slowly add more over time? I don't think that in good faith we can state that because it is a poorer nation that it doesn't have to live up to the recommended standards, but nothing states that every cutter has to have one. The larger grafts could be prepared with the loop and the finer ones done with the microscope. Just a thought.
  14. Doc, I understand what you are saying and I agree that it might not be a drastic difference in your case if you are just using 500 or so 1 and 2's. Possibly that in itself is somewhat of an issue. Do you think that with a microscope you would still only choose to have this many grafts for the hairline or do you limit this number due to the loop use? Moreover, I certainly respect saving the patient money by using larger grafts but many will be very concerned about any chance of it looking pluggy. I know that when done correctly it can be very beneficial. Here is the number one dilemna. A standard has been set that states that the physician and clinic must use a microscope. Your work might be as good and even possibly better than most but it does not meet the standard. What is to happen? Do we make 1 exception? This is the challenge. There are european cars that get great gas mileage but they don't meet US standards. I would love to get my hands on one, but I can't unfortunately. It looks to me like you might have no choice unfortunately. If you believe the cost is not a big deal I guess I would suggest that you buy one. Likely it will be worth the investment as it appears to me like you believe being a recommended doc on this site will increase your business. Good luck. By the way--yes the grafts do look as good as they get.
  15. NG2GB, Nothing to add as of late? How come I didn't get privy to your pics from a night out?
  16. Sorry. Just checked your blog. Very impressive. You are coming along nicely. You must be very happy.
  17. Richie that is certainly a pretty dramatic improvement. Why the red scalp in the first photo? Is it post op or just the lighting? Any updates on this site?
  18. Ofcourse at 10 weeks you can't expect a whole lot. I am curious as to how long you held onto the grafts? Do you have any photos of the scar?
  19. I thought that Spex posted a bunch on this site also but I looked and couldn't find them. Likely due to the time difference he'll likely get this message this evening. It might be a good idea to send him a PM.
  20. Sweet. There is no doubt that the first couple of days post op was always most concerning for me. I looked like butt the first day, but remarkably in only a couple of days I was actually able to go about without a hat. Everyones situation will vary ofcourse but it is crazy how after such a major procedure you can be doing so well so quickly. To be honest I drove to Minneapolis instead of flying because I didn't know how I was going to feel and didn't want to deal with all the airline BS. The road trip was a good soul searching experience for my wife and I so I was glad we drove. Nothing beats an occasional roadtrip. Thats a whole other story..... Heal well my friend.
  21. Lucky, I myself have been a major thorn in the side of Pat and Bill with respect to the addition of new docs. I understand what it is you are saying and I agree that in my opinion it is too early to draw any conclusions on the Farjo clinic. I look at them as guilty until proven innocent based on their horrific past. In saying that however, I am open to seeing them attempt to clear up their soured reputation but ofcourse I will certainly not be the one to recommend them to others quite yet. Some of the work that I have seen so far has been impressive I will openly state. Readily I admit that I have not seen the patient in person. The way I see things is that there are a handful of docs that I will feel secure in promoting. That is not to say that that list won't grow, but whether they are recommended or considered in the Coalition means nothing to me until they prove themselves on an ongoing basis. I think that it is not right of me to send a prospective patient to a doc that I have only seen 1 or 2 photos of their work. Has my stance changed on this topic over time? Yes, but I am allowed to change my perspective and belief system as my knowledge of HT's improves. Pat and Bill I hope anyway have more insight than most of us so they are certainly entitled and feel comfortable in recommending the doctors they do. I will try hard to keep my mouth shut and not argue their belief, but I will still also only recommend as I feel confortable. There is no doubt that this ambiguity and constant conflict is confusing to the newbie, but so be it. The more they don't understand the more they will research things for themselves and be confident in their decisions. I for one do hope that in the near future we are seeing a list of 50 docs with similar talent and I can comfortably tell a person that they don't need to travel. Unfortunately I don't believe we are there yet.
  22. Impressive. That's all I can say. I'm glad for you bud.
