  1. have a read of this, an item in an irish national newspaper yesterday, poor doctor, only trying to get on in life, have to trust in Karma............. ask Earl IH http://www.sundayworld.com/columnists/index.php
  2. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/showthread.php?t=152179 check it out with this link IH
  3. you're not going to get a result that is up to the mark from a surgery in Ireland, there's no point in dressing it up in any other language. do your research and pick any of the doc's recommended here. don't let traveling be your main reason for picking a doc.Look at the pics on site and the reviews and patient accounts of their docs. Irish docs at limited to around 1000 graft sessions and it's not worth getting a scar for such a small amount of grefts as most people will need more then that. PLEASE DO NOTHING till you are well educated about the process and the options available IH
  4. Hi hellomoto, welcome to the forum, first of all there is no point in telling you where you should have gone for your HT, hope fully the lose you have is only normal shockloss and will grow back, if you have pictures you will get some good advice here, how many grafts did you get? hang in there, it might be ok and if not too much of your doner area was used a repair if needed is your next project. good luck IH
  5. I would guess that this episode has nothing to do with the epi used. The amount and strength of epi used is very small and is given locally to keep the anesthetic in the area been worked on. It is unlikely to have any systemic effects. Epi increases blood pressure not lowers it. A simple vasovagal syncope event is the most likely reason for what happened. http://www.londoncardiac.ca/pages/vvs.htm It's not dangerous in this sitution and while upsetting it can be controled and should not put you off further possible HTs IH
  6. At the risk of been tagged as a fellerite, i will give my 2 cents on this. I just don't see what the problem is. Dr F only questions the placement of the scar in the two patients pictures that were shown in this trend. He has no problem with the exceptional cases and justs asks where the exception is here. If any party appears to be getting attacked here it is Dr F and Spex, unfairly so. The doc has a gift for getting to the point and a passion for saying and doing the right thing which is evident here. "what do you want to gain from this? you will only loose potential costumers because this comes across as unprofessional, egotistical and crude." Not a hope of patients being put off, if you meet him you will feel his passion for HT, the fact that he could get hair to grow on an egg helps too IH
  7. A little early perhaps but they are most likely ingrown hairs. Dont pop them, place a warm cloth on them and they will resolve. IH
  8. Not very impressed, there are a lot of grafts used here and it looks very sparse. I don't believe any of the top Docs here would produce a result like this with the same number of grafts. IH
  9. Cheers Doc, look forward to it, scotch i owe you isn't it? IH
  10. Dr Feller, I have in my possession a genuine flying carpet, passed down to me from generations long gone. I will gladly pass it on to you in return for 1 free crown HT. IH
  11. Yeah, hope to meet up with spex and Dr F in the UK and get the plan together for the crown. IH
  12. I was looking for a spare memory card for a camera and found an old camera with some pre HT pictures on it. As i had no pre HT pictures i decided to post these and my most recent photos, there is no need for me to tell you which ones are 2 years old and which ones are now. IH
  13. "homer is right spex is a great guy and helps alot of UK guys go over to the states" UK and IRISH...... Richie
  14. Stevoh, there is no quick way to gain the knowledge required to make a good decision with regard to what is the best option for you and your HT. Dr Feller works out of Great Neck NY, it is possible to consult with him through the UK but only once or twice a year and he only preforms HTs in NY. search for SPEX on this site and he will give you top class guidance as he works for DrF and is a great guy. Don't rush into anything too soon IH
  15. All looks as it should at the 1 month stage. There looks like some sheding on the lower edge of the scar which is no problem, it will grow back, all seems well. IH
  16. Well done 'Bank. grow well and be that hair monster. IH
  17. I've traveled for the last 6 or 7 years with my laptop, No problems and no delays, just make sure you can remove it quickly from it's case at the security desk. All the best Bank, hope you get all you want, you deserve it. IH
  18. Show us the pictures, you can post till the cows come home but without photographic evidence it is very hard for us to believe that you're not a shill. When i started my HT journey i had a consult with Dr K, seemed nice and i was impressed with what he was going to do. However i had no terms of refferance and when i did some reserch i realised that it might not be the best road to follow, I cancelled my appointment and the rest is history. He was at the time offering 3 sessions of 1000 grafts for 12000 euro (16000 US dollers)not what i would call top of the game and for that amount of money you can travel to any of the top US doctors. Show me the pictures and if they are as good as mine are now i will drive the 2 hours to Cork for my crown HT. IH
  19. as with every organisation that we fined ourselfs involved with throughout our lives, be it work, school, social or religious, there will be rules, codes of conduct, regulations etc. We all have the right to stay with the programme or to move to another format. The pros and cons must be weighed up and we decide if the benifits of staying outweigh the the desire to be outside the norms of any group. IH
  20. I'm not one for getting into an argument about banning one poster or another. I joined this forum for one reason and only one reason, to learn about getting the best HT i could get and for the support of members before, during and after my HT.Thats what i got. I have no opinion on the banning of a poster, i neither find him witty or not. I like others read the posts and very quickly make a decision as to weathera posters advice is worth taking or ignoring. My only reason for posting now is that i would hate to see any excellent posters leave the site and deprive us all of solid info and advice. I didn't join up because of any one poster and would not leave because the banning of any one poster. The site has to be bigger then any one poster. IH
  21. hi bank, good to hear from you again, The estimate of whats left was Dr Fellers, that would take me to 6500 grafts in total not great but not too bad. IH
  22. The ciggie picture again, have tried to stop smoking in medical facilitys since then. IH
  23. a quick update at 15 months I am thinking of a move towards getting my crown done next. IH
  24. HI Chucky, I'm at 15 months now and have noticed a differance even now. The hair is thicker now, the down side is my crown looks bad now. I have'nt lost any more and may hav even grown a little with meds but with the front and mid-scalp looking so good the rest looks worse. I only have 1000-1500 grafts left and am giving some thought to FUE to keep some doner area just in case of future loss. My camera is playing up at the moment, i will sort it soon. cheers IH
