Senior Member BigBill1234 Posted January 22, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted January 22, 2010 I am going to need a second HT soon. It seems the best doctors require shaving. I really can't as I am in sales, but I guess if there's that big of a difference I will go to Feller or H&W and deal with it for 6-7 months. Senior Member hairthere Posted January 22, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted January 22, 2010 Docs who don't require shaving include Shapiro, Cooley, and I think Arocha. If you need more than 3k grafts even the top docs who don't shave may require you to do so. Senior Member Maxxy Posted January 22, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted January 22, 2010 I believe Dr. True and Dr. Epstein also don't require you to shave. I'm sure there will be others.
Senior Member BigBill1234 Posted January 22, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 22, 2010 I'm looking around Florida and I only need about 2K with a bit of a scar repair. Am planning on seeing Epstein next month.
Senior Member the B spot Posted January 22, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted January 22, 2010 Hi Bill--- we can do 2000 grafts without shaving...in fact, a large part of what we do involves patients who cannot shave down, etc... Generally speaking we can do 2500-2600 without requiring shaving. We do not charge extra as some clinics do either. I would be happy to have Dr. Shapiro have a look at your photos and go from there. Also, if your looking for 2000 grafts unshaven, you should check with Dr. Rose and Dr. Charles as well. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted January 22, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted January 22, 2010 Bigbill, If you do shave, you won't have to wait 6-7 months. It would probably be more around 3-4 months. Check out my blog to see the progress. It got better around month 4. And I shaved for a couple months after the procedure. Senior Member Dr. Ricardo Mejia Posted January 23, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted January 23, 2010 We do not require shaving. You still get quality excellent results. Most of my patients are professionals and do not want the downtime look.
