Senior Member johnno Posted January 19, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted January 19, 2007 I was wondering whether to have the front 2/3 of my head transplanted and the crown area left bald. This would give me the Monk look for sure and i was wondering if the ladies would find it attractive and the fellers look favourably upon such an eloquent style? Senior Member YoungGuy Posted January 19, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted January 19, 2007 I would imagine that you'll end up going for 2-3 HTs total in your situation. You might want to find some posts by jotronic, he has gone a similar route (first the front 2/3, then the crown, then some filling in on the 3rd HT) and now he looks great. Senior Member irish homer Posted January 19, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted January 19, 2007 it may sound like a good idea now and i would'nt argue for or against it but as soon as you have the first one finished " hair greed" will take over and you will want more. Guest
That's me - Unfortunately I don't have enough donor hair to cover the crown area (nw 6). So I have had the front 2/3 of my head covered with transplants and wear a small lace piece in the crown area. Works for me...
Bill - Seemiller
Johnno, It's personal preference really...but most people's philosophies (including mine) is that most people see you from the front and the hairline frames and shapes the face. I rather have a bald or thinning crown than no to thin hair in the front. Btw...here is JoTronic's site: http://www.hairtransplantmentor.com/hair-transplant-1-2.htm Bill

Senior Member hairbank Posted January 22, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted January 22, 2007 Johnno- Purely personal choice, my friend! I naturally had the monk look as I lost my hair from the crown forward...........I really hated it . Given the choice, if didn't have the available donor, I'd probably try and live with the "monk" look. However, I'm with Irish Homer on this..............if you have the donor, hair greed will kick in and you'll likely want to lose the bald spot.
