Senior Member olmert Posted March 14, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 14, 2012 It was FDA "approved" to be safe; nothing to do with its efficacy or proving of claims I don't believe. Some people believe the FDA’s ruling constitutes a finding that the lasercomb is only safe. Some people believe the FDA’s ruling is a finding that the lasercomb is effective. It is a complicated question, but if you are prepared to get a headache, see Is the Laser Comb Approved by FDA? | Laser Comb Info and http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/154198-lexington-hairmax-lasercomb-did-fda-really-approve-endorse.html
Bill - Seemiller
Use of low level laser therapy (LLLT) devices for treating hair loss has been heavily debated for some time by reputable hair restoration physicians and patients on our discussion forum. While some physicians reject its use entirely, others use laser hair treatment as a regular part of their practice. FYI: the HairMax Lasercomb has been "cleared", not "approved" by the FDA. I recommend reading forum member "JoTronic's" response on the discussion topic "Laser Therapy Debate Between Dr. Feller and Dr. Bauman".
