Hi Everyone,

I am sure this question was asked before but wanted to know out of all the people that have done transplants do you still take meds like propecia or were you able to stop the meds and still have good coverage?

greenmud,

The "need" for Propecia varies from patient to patient. Ultimately, it's about minimizing the risk of future hair loss.

For me, I've had 4 hair transplant procedures (my fourth was just recently) and am still on Propecia. I'm only taking it however to help maintain the natural hair below my crown and hopefully prevent any additional thinning. I may not "need" it, but in my opinion, taking it is about minimizing the risk of future loss. Since I don't have any side effects and it since hair loss seems to have stopped progressing, I'm still taking it.

Best wishes,

Bill
