  1. Hi Folko, I have been on propecia for 6 months, and I can tell you the treatment is working. I notice that the loss has stopped or slowed down at least. There was a couple of times earlier on when I thought I was losing more hair and you can definitely go through some periods but like Bill said stick with it.
  2. This looks so shady, their website is not very professional. Doubt that its legit.
  3. Usually it should take 20-30 minutes.
  4. hi public, I think the propecia website said that after a year you can see if the drug is working or not, so first if you haven't experience any hair loss then the drug is working and continue to use it because if you stop then you are going to continue to thin and lose hair. Not sure if your hair will thicken though...
  5. brentipold, how are things going with your recovery? I am still on propecia and things have gotten better for me, erections are back to normal at least i think they are and I do have morning wood which in the beginning they were non-existant
  6. brentipold, Hard to say, somedays I think my body is getting use to the drug and things are going to normal and sometimes i think i might be having issues. well today will be my third week and i am going to go for another week on it and that take me to one month. I'm thinking of switching to EOD after that, but today I felt good. My erection felt strong like before propecia, so hopefully it stays that way and I am starting to get some morning wood back but its not that frequent and its not that strong. I also started to take multi-vitamins so maybe thats helping out.
  7. hi brentipold, yeah thats definitely not a site you want to visit if you are concern with your sides. give it some time i guess and like you told me just think positive and not focus on it as much.
  8. hey brentipold, are you back to normal? you said before you haven't been the same since you quit the second time around, hope all is well now.
  9. So its been over two weeks on propecia and the sides continue. Sometimes it gets better and sometimes it gets worse. This similar to your situation brentipold, it sucks but what can you do. I am still going to press through for another two weeks, my brother's GF recommends to give it a full month, if the sides don't subside or things don't get back to normal that I am going to have to face it that I am not a good candidate for propecia. Also these sides are not just in my head as people believe, for one thing I no longer have morning wood which is the first sign of ED problems, if I had morning wood then I can contribute to performance anxiety or being in my head. I hope its gets better causing losing hair sucks as well know. I also find it ironic that the one drug proven to work had to have the one side effect that guys can't live with, its like God is playing a cruel joke on bald people. Doh!
  10. no before and after pictures, patent pending, yup sounds like its going to work real good....
  11. people at my job have been making comments about my hair for the past two years when I first started to notice. However I talk openly about my hair loss admitting that I am losing it and also speaking about how I want to do something about. People even ask why don't you get a hair transplant, even though they have no idea what that entails. I am pretty open, I meaning balding is something that most men will go through, so no biggie if I am trying to slow it down.
  12. ok so latest update, the sides have started to ween off if thats possible. The ability to get hard is not as challenging as before and maintaining is not being an issue. Also the watery semen is starting to fade. maybe my body is adjusting to it, based on this i will continue taking the drug. I am thinking though of reducing the dosage since I have plenty of hair and looking to maintain, but i think i will do that after six months. I will keep posting every so often to update on sides or no sides. I think its helpful since propecia is a drug that people have so many mix reactions to it.
  13. Brentipold, Sucks to hear that you didn't have any luck. I will go for a couple of more weeks and see what happens, luckily my brothers gf is doctor and she is helping me with monitoring my problem. She recommends another week or two on and if I still have problems she says definitely get off the drugs. Hopefully things subside, if they don't bye bye hair, doh!
  14. XXY, So when you quit the drug did you go back to normal? And how long did it take? As to clarify I can still get erect and perform just I don't have that urge to where before I was always ready to go. I think for right now I am going to stick it out, its only been five days so maybe my body does need to adjust plus I spent over $200 for propecia, its the name brand and I got it at CVS no online pharmacy. If this persist for another two weeks that I will probably quit and face the reality. I will keep you posted.
  15. So brentipold, are you off propecia now?
  16. So after a year of contemplating taking propecia or not for my hair loss I finally decided to take it. I have been on rogaine for six months and it really didn't help with regrowth and probably slowed down the loss. I know I am not bald but I am thinning to the point that it bothers me, I know my crown is getting very thin and based on its current rate it probably be bald in about a year. I ruled out the idea of hair transplant right now because of the cost and the fact that I keep my hair real short on the sides and the back so it would be hard to conceal the scar, also probably my future baldness extent would not be help by a FUE. So I said ok I know there is now about a 50/50 shot that propecia will work and not give me sides. I saw the dermatalogist on Friday before memorial day weekend, and this is actually the second dermatalogist I saw, the first one I saw six months ago and he just read everything out of the Merck playbook. The second dermatalogist was more real about the side effects and he explained that in his experience about 20-30% of his patients incur some of the sexual side effects. He also mentioned the he currently take propecia and he himself does not incur any side effects. Based on a more real and candid conversation I decided to go for it as this my last ditch effort to save my hair or shave it. So amazingly enough the sides hit right away its been less then a week and my libdo is down. Now I don't have depression, brain fog, or anxiety or anything like that, I am still the same go happy guy that I always am but the sexual sides hit me. Its harder for me to get an erection and maintain one, it also doesn't feel as hard either but not sure if thats true. I can't believe in about 5 days I already have the sexual sides, its fustrating. So now I am at another cross road, should I continue to take propecia and see what happens for a couple of more weeks or should I realize that this drug does not work for me. Also no pain in testicles or anything like that, its just harder for me to stay erect. Has anyone hear had the sides continue with the drug and the sides eventually went away that they got their libdo back??
  17. Dr. Feller, So if someone is on PRP does that mean they will keep their native hair. Would this be a good alternative to using Rogaine or Propecia for those who just want to hold on to what they already have?
  18. Dr. Feller, Will this work for the front of the head as well, of course assuming the individual has hair or are you looking at this from the crown perspective?
  19. How can you be certain that its rogaine? Have you seen the doctor about it and done test. I have been on rogaine foam for over 6 months and have not had one issue with ED.
  20. Hi Everyone, So currently I am an NW2 but heading to a NW3, I have thin hair all over but still relatively dense and provided full coverage on my head. The crown is starting to thin and my fear is that it will be bald in a couple of years. I have been on Rogaine foam for the past 5 months consistently using it 2X day and haven't missed a day yet. I don't think its been helping with re-growth, my brother does feel that some parts of my head has gotten thicker but I feel like it has slowed down the balding but hasn't really stop it. I will continue to put it on, I don't think its that big of a deal its like brushing your teeth, so I don't see why people think its such a pain. The foam does dry so quickly. I was initially against using propecia but after seeing the pros and cons I decided to give it a try. I will provide updates as far as how its looks with the hair and of course the dreaded side effects. I am not expecting regrowth but if I can maintain what I have then that would be nice since I wouldn't need a hair transplant or anything like that, of course I will stop if the sides are there and will update people on it. Also I did have a quick question, so with propecia they say it will take 6-12 months before you notice anything, I am wondering will it keep the hair that I have now or will I continue to thin and it will keep the hair I have 12 months from now?
  21. Hi Everyone, So as a right now I am not taking propecia but because it has proven to work I am consider taking it since I am right now more of NW2. The issue of course are the side effects that some people experience, one question I have is did anyone have children while on propecia. I am single as of now but of course would like to have children down the line and wondering what effects it can have on that.
  22. Hi Everyone, I was curious what people think of their transplant after 10 yrs, not sure how long the FUT has been around. I guess what I am getting it is that did people have a transplant 10 yrs ago and because their balding progress they had to get another transplant or does the transplant no longer look right?
