Senior Member hairbank Posted April 13, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted April 13, 2007 Your hair is your hair..........the Doc won't make a difference where texture is concern. Now if he transplants many multiple unit grafts rather than singles and doubles, MAYBE they'll feel a little different because of the groupings but I doubt it. Is your hair curly by nature? Senior Member the B spot Posted April 13, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted April 13, 2007 Dazz---- your transplanted hair will maintain a very coarse texture for up to 24 months. Generally transplanted patients notice full "growth" between 10-14 months. However, as the transplanted hairs continue to cycle through growing and resting phases, they will begin to "soften" and take on the natural characteristics of your "top of the scalp" hair. I know that my transplanted hair has softened considerably 1 year + post op. Take Care and Happy Growing!!!!
