Regular Member harry101 Posted November 20, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted November 20, 2009 Friends, Please do help me with this issue: If a Dr plans to do a 3000 graft session in a matter of about 4 hours, is it realistic and possible with say just a couple technical staff? I mean is there a possibility that he is actually going to plant less number of grafts than he promised? I will appreciate honest opinions. Senior Member the B spot Posted November 20, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted November 20, 2009 I'm not saying you can't do 3000 grafts in 4 hours....but I doubt you would get a good result. Sounds like BS to me....more like 1200 grafts 3000 HAIRS. Even that in 4 hours is a stretch..more like 6. I think you might want to re-evaluate going forward right now. Senior Member Forrest Gump Posted November 20, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted November 20, 2009 I had a 3000 graft session, and it took over 7 hours. I think it was almost 8 hours.
Bill - Seemiller
harry101, Quite frankly, I have a hard time believing a 3000 graft procedure can be performed in only 4 hours, that is, unless the clinic is being hasty - which could be a detriment to the fnal result. Hair restoration surgery is about quality not speed. Thus, I'd be extremely careful with who you select to perform your surgery. Regular Member harry101 Posted November 20, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 20, 2009 well, i had surgery of about 3000 grafts last year by Dr boles of nuhart and it took about 5 hours. i strongly suspect I got less than 3000 grafts. Senior Member hair_care Posted November 20, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted November 20, 2009 I had a little over 2700 and that took about 8 hours, 3000 grafts in 4 hours sounds quite impossible. Senior Member Severn Posted November 20, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted November 20, 2009 I had 3008 grafts and I believe the total time worked on it minus a lunch break was 8-9 hours. My Hair Loss Web Site - Dr. Ron Shapiro

Regular Member jmg544 Posted November 22, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted November 22, 2009 I had over 3000+ grafts. I went in at 11 am and I didn't leave until midnight. I would say I took anywhere between 1.5 to 2 hours for breaks (including lunch and dinner). I had two persons on me the whole time.
