  1. Barley, Bosley and Sword are pretty aggressive marketers, once they get their hooks into you. The good thing is that the top surgeons are promoted on this site, and they don't need to use smoke and mirrors.
  2. It's highly unlikely that one company (Bosley) would be given priority, especially since there would be a limited profit potential by doing so. And, I would imagine that enough people would bitch and moan about Bosley to make such an agreement very unattractive to ICX. I'm sure that even the UK has a whiff of the stench from LLB and company! b
  3. I use Stephan dandruff air tonic, which helps considerably. You can get it on line from Bowman Barber and Beauty. b
  4. Where should I start? I had work done by Bosley, Elliot, and Straub. Those were the days of the "plug and pay, and pay, and pay, etc.), and I don't think anyone derived acceptable results (except the people in the brochures). However, each of the above Drs gave me the usual line: "you are a great candidate, and we can give you the results you want." This was in the 80s and 90s, before follicular unit grafting and a good online resource. Fortunately, I stumbled on this web site, and I'm awaiting results from what I felt was a very good procedure from Dr. Siporin in W. Los Angeles.
  5. You might also consult with Dr. Ken Siporin, who has offices in W. Los Angeles and Westlake.
  6. Vince, You should contact the company with your concerns, and let us know what the response is! b
  7. I ordered a 90 day supply, and I'll report any results, or lack thereof. I was impressed by their web site and guarantee, and I'm a pretty careful shopper. If the medication doesn't seem effective, I can always go back to my original prescription of Propecia. To be continued......
  8. I feel some stubble after 1 1/2 months use, which coincides with my last hair transplant. Is that the propecia, or remnants from the HT?
  9. Has anyone does business with, or know about 4RX.com in Canada? Thanks! b

  11. How long after starting Propecia can you fell/see results, assuming you are going to see results?

  13. Check Dr. Ken Siporin, who is reviewed on his site. I had a very positive experience, no pain, and quick healing. I'm looking forward to seeing the results in a few months. Dr. Siporin is located in W. Los Angeles.
  14. Bill, Thanks! I have the prescription, but I was looking for a more economical (and reliable) source. Thanks for the reference information. b
  15. Is there a way to order Propecia online w/ a prescription, or is this a risky practice?

  17. It's really common sense for the consumer: "let the buyer beware." Take yourself back 20 years, and your being led by flashy advertising, false promises, and blind hope. With internet discussion groups, such as this, there is no reason for someone to have unsatisfactory results. That is, unless one has unrealistic expectations.
  18. I had some grafts placed in the front of my hairline, where no other grafts existed. Will this hair grow faster, or the same as the rest of the transplants that are behind the hairline? Thanks! b

  20. Michael, You can get Stephans, and a number of cool other grooming products, from Bowman Barber and Beauty supplies online. I don't have the exact web site address, but a quick search will do. Their prices and service are great, and I'm pleased, as I told you. No scratching, please! bb
  21. When I felt the grafts were stabilized (10 days after surgery), I started using Stephans anti-dandruff hair tonic with mineral oil. It really helped the post surgery itching. Just a comment, however; I don't get 5 cents a bottle from Stephans! bb
