It should be safe but the only person you should be asking is your doctor as each clinic will have a different policy on this.

I rarely chime in on these threads but in this case I'm making an exceptionI like this work and I like the documentation. There is a distance issue for some of the results posted but the images that are closer up are quite good and most images are crystal clear which is a FAR cry better than what most clinics post, especially some of the more recently recommended physicians. Some suggestions for Dr. Wu; 1.) Post photos of the hairline exposed for each patient that had hairline work. 2.) Post photos of the donor scar if possible. 3.) Take more photos closer to the recipient zone. Well done overall and welcome.

Unfortunately this is not always true. FUE, if not performed properly can leave scarring that is very noticeable to the point that shaving (which is the main point of FUE) is not possible without the ravaging effects being obvious. This is not a strip vs. FUE issue. It is just a fact of life.

I can't stress enough to everyone reading this, the work was only done in the front and the growth looks good. The only thing I can nitpick about the hairline is that we aren't really seeing the hairline, we are seeing the shape of the hairline. It's hardly nitpicking however when this should be considered a crucial part of anyone's documentation, be it from a clinic or a member. Aftermath, To answer your question, you nailed it with two of your points in an earlier post. I wouldn't however call it "the greatest" reaction to meds ever. I've seen it before in some of our own patients and others online but I would say it is probably in the top ten percent of responses. However, we can't be sure since we don't have any images of the top with the hairs separated as they should be.

Graft breakdown: Singles - 1758 Doubles - 4293 3/4 - 289 Total - 6340 Regarding the donor extraction, yes I believe it is unique in that Dr. Hasson, as well as Dr. Wong tend to not stick to a standard pattern when performing the removal. They will follow the best hair of the donor zone (higher density, stronger caliber) which, more times than not, will be higher up on the sides but not quite as high as the parietal humps. This avoids hair that may be of lesser quality due to current or future retro-grade alopecia.

Dr. Hasson and I made a quick trip to Italy last week to conduct consultations and to see former patients for follow up documentation. It was a very crazy trip that we crammed into five days round trip (two days of travel,100 patients total). One of the patients that came to see us for a follow up visit was the patient shown below. 6340 grafts were moved in one procedure via FUT. Aftermath, Thank you for your patience. What we are seeing in the final images is unrelated to the work performed. We are looking at an average of 850 grafts per temple only. It is illogical and impossible for the full result to be attributed to work in a small area with a small number of grafts. The areas behind the temples, in the mid-scalp and beyond, are fuller due to Propecia, fillers, but most likely strategic styling or a combination of the three. The problem is that the images themselves look like petroleum jelly was spread on the camera lens and we cannot see even a sliver of the detail that I would hope the members would, or should, demand. I mean, how can one take so many pictures and not one picture be clear enough to see any real detail? Any camera phone today has more than enough resolution to show what we need to see. Until we see the details I can only say that if the patient is happy then that is ultimately the only thing that matters but to give an opinion on the result itself is impossible since the result is unclear.

Aftermath, I have some thoughts on this case but I'm very busy at the moment finishing up with consultations in Italy. Once I have time to settle down and get home I'll chime in.

People can use proxies to hide their IP's but not to mimic the same IP. That would require "spoofing" the same IP and that would require deliberate not to mention skilled efforts that venture into the realm of actual hacking.

This patient came to see Dr. Hasson in April of 2013. His goal was to establish a frame for his face with a strong new hairline and to get as much coverage behind the hairline as possible. Agreed. You need to choose a doctor that has multiple examples of what it is you are trying to achieve. If you want temple work, find a doctor that has lots of temple examples. If you need coverage, find a doctor that has multiple examples of good coverage. Density? Crowns? It's all the same.

Agreed with Matt, 2500 to 3000 grafts but remember that without some sort of active prevention you'll need more surgery, most likely more than one more, and you will never have a completely full head of hair once the rest starts to go.

Most people are rubbish photographers:) No worries, I appreciate the effort. I'm mainly interested in a good tilted down photo to compare the before after, maybe in a room with better all around lighting like your washroom. Regardless, I appreciate the new photos so thank you for adding them.

No, I don't think he's wrong. If he says he can't do it then he can't do it. However, this doesn't mean that another doctor can't. No offense to the doctor you've chosen but I clearly see large gaps that can be filled in between the existing hairs. Your hair is already shaved so with magnification one need only pay attention to the angle and direction of the native hairs and make the new incisions parallel to the native hair. This is where truth is separated from fiction because some doctors will say they match angle and direction but only through action can this be proven, of which, you are a perfect example.

You need to upload better photos. They need to be of your hair damp and combed back with a higher resolution. Keep the flash off when you take the photos. Show at least one photo overhead and one shot from each side as well.

Drew, I'm very glad to see you back. I hate to hear or read stories about misdiagnosed issues that cause years of torment so I'm super happy that you figured out the issues you've been suffering from. I know I speak for Dr. Wong when I say we wish you all the best with the strongest of recoveries.

Then you're doing the right thing but you could also consider adding minoxidil and a shampoo with 2% ketoconazole to the mix.

Dingdong, I''m glad for your happiness. Would you be willing to share some photos without using a flash and maybe show some angles that mimic the before photos you posted? That always helps in quantifying the result for everyone.
