  1. Hi anonymous, i ll get back to you with a private message, because this thread was originally intended for bluesman Pictures of my hairloss can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/belgiumdude2004/
  2. I agree with you guys, it will look stupid if i get a densepacked front and continue losing my hair behind it. So what does that mean: more HT's, simple as that. I know this wont be my first and final HT and i'd rather live with multiple sessions than to wait till i might become completely bald before i do something about it. Also keep in mind that my hair hasnt changed for years and only 1 member of my entire family had hairloss and that was my grandfather who was a NW4 to 5 when he died at the age of 80. 3. I think canEHdian means something else, he is talking about the donor-supply as i dont think he is so ignorant to think FUE will stop your hairloss, but you are right on the part that it doesnt solve the donor-supply. It does add a lot to the total donor!!! Some say the average with Strip is 6000 grafts and the average with strip + FUE is 9000 grafts. I even believe it is more but as you can see, it is a big improvement on the total yield. Imagine you are a NW6, this means you have lost about half of your hair. A full head of hair has about 100000 hairs so about 50000 grafts. This means that you have lost about 25000 grafts and have the same amount still out there. Strip: 6000 grafts -- 25000 grafts: 24% Strip + FUE: 9000 grafts -- 25000 grafts: 36% With strip you can have about 24% of the normal density and with strip and FUE combined you can have about 36% of the normal density. Add BHT to it and you even get a higher percentage depending on how many grafts you can extract. If you get a conservative hairline, you can also add a few percentiles because a conservative hairline isnt equal to a full head of hair. IMO a NW6 is the highest u can go to still be able to make something out of it, as in to still get a good head of hair. A NW7 is really a big problem, you will have about 15000 grafts left and 35000 lost. Also with a NW7 you wont be able to harvest the numbers mentioned above, so you will end up with some sprinkles on top which IMO arent worth the $$$ you pay for it. 6. Ask Justin Sievers about this, he is a poster on this forum and had some bad results with Avodart. Do a search on his name because he made a log while he was on it with his thoughts and comments, you should read this. 9. I was thinking about the same thing when a small gap appears behind the hairline, you can try to cover it up also wtih dermmatch, and concealers. Otherwise we would be in the chair many times... the system could also be a good idea but this would only be for a short period of time in my case cause i think i would hate the feeling. But i think it is a good plan. Good luck. Pictures of my hairloss can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/belgiumdude2004/
  10. Hi UK, the pics are indeed PRGuy ( Shane ) from this forum. If you want to see his face, check out www.alviarmani.com, patient pics It is very important to take the meds PRGuy describes. Otherwise you will have one transplant after the other if you dont do anything to stop the progress or at least slow it down, whcuh the meds do in maybe 90% of the cases. Proscar is the same as propcia, only much cheaper and you need to quarter the pills because the are 5mg and propecia is 1mg. I paid about 120 euros ( +-80 pounds?? )for a years worth of proscar. Add rogaine and you have a good chance of slowing down your hairloss seriously! Only downside is that it works better for the crown and midscalp but it also helps for the frontal part of your hair. It is true that the drug can help prevent prostate cancer because proscar is a drug for prostate problems. The active ingredient is finasteride which is exactly the same as the active ingredient of propecia. I see you are about 1 year older than me, what are you on the NW-scale? Maybe you could take some pics and post them here to get some opinions on how many grafts to get. You will get a lot of comments: some will say to go for it, including myself, while others will call you a stupid moron for considering a HT at a young age. My opinion is that you have enough donorhairs available to start young, but 1 thing is for sure: you will need more HT's in the future which is lifetime-commitment and which means spending a lot of $$$. The meds can work very well, but they arent a cure. Do some research on this site, listen to all the opinion and then make a choice for yourself. There are a lot of things for you to find out before making a decision, but in the end it is your choice. Good luck and feel free to ask any questions here that you think of. There are a lot of guys here that know about everything about HT's so dont hesitate to ask. Pictures of my hairloss can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/belgiumdude2004/

  17. Is there a website that shows good results of toppik used in the hairline? My thoughts were that it worked best on crown and that hairline was some kind of a problem-area. Pictures of my hairloss can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/belgiumdude2004/
  18. doctors who perform this kind of surgery mostly think about their wallet. Pictures of my hairloss can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/belgiumdude2004/
  19. not every surgeon can perform dense packings!!! Pictures of my hairloss can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/belgiumdude2004/
  20. Galeatomy is supposed to increase bloodflow to your scalp but there is enough already. It wont stop your hairloss or slow it down. This surgery is banned in north america and only performed by moneydigging doctors in countries where it isnt banned yet, like Belgium !!! Clinics who perform this should be banned from your list!! 21. I am not someone who is opposed HT's in young guys, i am 22 myself, but you have too much hair. A HT can only look good when you have to re-create an entire hairline. Imagine this: the hairs in your hairline are very fine and the hairs in your donor are coarse, this is the same with everyone. Imagine you having your temples filled in. This will mean rhe temple points are thin hairs, your temples are filled with coarse hair, your forelock is again thin hair. The part that frames your face will go from thin hair to coarse hair to thin hair to coarse hair to thin hair ( starting at one temple point to the other ). This will look freaking weird!!! That is why i am opposed to HT's for NW1's like yourself and NW2's because you just cant be happy with the results AND this isnt everything. You will be in it for life with nothing you can do about it. When you are a NW3 and you get a HT and get a complete new hairline, you still have the possibility of covering things up a bit when the hairs behind it start falling out. When you are a NW2, you cant. What when your forelock starts to move back?? You will have 2 plucks of hair on your temples and nothing in the middle, so you are forced to get instant follow-up HT's and you are forced to get into FUE because you will need small procedures and this means $$$$$$$$$$$. I hope i made myself understood and good luck Pictures of my hairloss can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/belgiumdude2004/

  23. I didnt know i was well known on this forum Im sure your HT is going to look great though, you chose one of the best doctors in the world and i was really looking forward seeing your pics since you are a young guy as well and since we had a few private messages in the past. Did the hair you lost on avodart grow back after you stopped it? because you still had a lot of hair. I really am not anti-conservative and i really like your HT, i really do. I just dont believe in depleting donor anymore ( to all the rest, plaese dont reply to this comment here, this is Justin's pride and joy-thread ) guys like yourself with a complete donorarea. You still have so many grafts in your donorarea and i have faith that cloning wont be that far away. Maybe i'm just a foolish risktaker... i guess only time will tell. I cant wait to see your 6 month pics and im sure you cant as well All this said, you are going to look great amigo!!! And happy healing and growing Pictures of my hairloss can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/belgiumdude2004/
