  1. hey guys! yes i did i actually bought it for myself; I called a doctor in miami and he connected me with National Hair centers; he explained eberyting about the cap as well, advised to use it even before ht so the scalp is stronger i started using it about a week before ht and man i just have to say that besides the ht going great; the hairs are getting thicker all around, im a believer in laser so i invested those 2500$ on it. They also offer payments. I was told that the power and laser that the comb has doesn't compare at all to the cap; that cap is much for powerful you should see that thing is a nice machine. it seems to be working well for me; i think if you do ht and through the growth time you add laser you should expect good results; i have to add that i started using this machine about a week prior to my ht, and exactly 2 days after ht started using it again, would sit it right above my head while laying down; and i never experienced shock loss which i was very happy about. good luck!
  2. hey thank you for the help, I've been told to do the same try 1 milligram first once a week see how i do and hopefully then bring it twice a week.... yes i did, the ht was done in the middle didn't go all the way to the crown i wanted to put it all on the front and middle, when i put the laser on it would touch my forehead and the back so it didn't touch the area where the grafts were transplanted, the cut fits right in, it doesn't touch your scalp. So i I've been using it 3 times a week for 30 minutes as i was advised.
  3. Hey guys after a month I'm posting up some pictures here, note that i have cut my hair to how i like to wear it, its very short, as you can see the donor area is healed. i asked many people to tell me how it looks they told me it just looks a lil red but would never guess i had a surgery, I'm very happy with that. at the top you can see no redness anymore i just started using rogaine like doctor hakan described. and Im also using laser therapy every other day for 30 minutes, i believe this will help, i did it years ago and had amazing results so i think i can re introduce it and so far I'm happy with everything. I traveled from the us to turkey to meet doctor hakan he saw my donor and said unfortunately it wasn't too strong so we could only get about 2500 grafts, this was done in one session, from there it took about 2 weeks for all the scabs to fall off, i started using the laser 2 days after operation. this laser is the capillus cup, its recommended by clinics, i believe some ht surgeons put their patients on this even a day after surgery its believed by some that it can reduce the shock loss. To all of you id like to ask for any tips as far as propecia, I've been getting some side effects i don't like at all, and i stopped it a few weeks ago, any advice and comments please let me know, any questions you have ill be happy to answer!
  4. hey mate i have to say that to me your hair looks better than the picture before, however Id expect more its true, but don't give up the hopes, even if after a year just don't give it up. Have you tried taking the propecia maybe every other day? I've heard that this could help with less of those side effects, and I'm assuming you are cutting the pill in 4 and taking 1 once a day? well try taking it once every other day and see what happens. Also do you workout? If not Try resistance training this could also help minimize the side effects you may get from the pill. on another note i think the hair you have now will not fall, and you should really look into smp, there are truly some great people out there doing amazing things with it, since you do have somewhat hair around it will definitely make you look as if you have no hair loss at all. I have seen pictures and contacted myself a few places, the ink is temporary so you can see how you feel once you have it in. At first i found some negative info on smp but I'm now looking into myself and will perform this soon, so my advice is check into it! Try the pill every other day! and not for once think you lost the battle! good luck!
  5. well i looked for a natural store and i called ask if they had organic shampoos then just went and looked them up made sure no alcohol so most likely no scent. Minoxidil is whats on rogain which will help to thicken up your new hairs! but i guess they asked you to get that in shampoo? no sure but really look for a natural store just call them up, I for got the name of mine since I'm not home. You will find that shampoo very easy
  6. hey just get an organic shampoo with no alcohol its what i have been using and what they recommended for me. Hope you doing well!
  7. hey voipman anyway you could post some pictures of your scalp using dermatch?
  8. pretty good check my other posts i did put some pictures on them. And I'm waiting just a lilbit more the 6th of april will be a full month, my donor area is completely healed you can not tell that anything was extracted from there which i find incredible, my beard is completely healed as well I'm very happy, specially the prices in turkey with dr Hakan Doganay are just unbeatable. will be performing smp very soon and post pictures as well
  9. Post them here please, would love to see them. thank you mate!
  10. yes they did prp during the ht. By the way i Just washed the hair and a ton of scabs came out, thank you so much! Im not really sure about dermatch to be honest, the doctor asked not to use any of those because they could cover the poures and how the follicles i guess need to breath and not get cover by concealers. However i do think dermatch is a great product and would work great on me, do you mind sharing some pictures of how it looks after you use it? would really appreciate it.
  11. Hey thanks a lot falco123 i have noticed the scabs turn white after washing but id leave it there. As i said its been 14 days and wish they could all be gone i will try to after washing see where the white around the head is and pour water while gently passion the palm of my hand over it. thank you so much
  12. Hey falco123 thank you so much for the help, i have noticed after washing the scabs do turn white but i wouldn't touch them, i guess i could gently do what you said i should. Right now im only washing 2 times a day, maybe i should try 3? thanks so much man
  13. Hey guys, here are a few pics of my post op today marks 14 days however not all scabs are gone yet, I've washed my hair twice a day very gently of course, really hoping the scubs are gone soon. 2500 grafts were transplanted with Dr hakan Doganay; 1000 came from my beard, unfortunately my donor wasn't full enough to extract more, but i do keep my hair very short. In this picture is much longer than i tend to keep the hair, so i plan on later add smp to the back and maybe even some on the front to add a more full look. I don't have any work as of now for a few more weeks so hoping all the scabs are soon, any suggestions id really appreciate them, thank you all! see the donor is all healed im really happy about that, its almost impressive how this choi technique really leaves barely any marks, i plan on keeping the back area to a 0 cut and the front middle to a 1.5
  14. hey guys im at 14 days post op with dr haken my scabs are not all gone yet thought, they still on my hair, any suggestions? no more redness, donor fully healed i will be posting pictures after sending this, please let me know your thoughts
  15. Hey David thank you so much! its been 3 days after this surgery I'm flying back to the states tonight, i just feel like this extra 2 days here weren't even necessary, would've felt much more comfortable back at home. I think in about a month i will be able to tell with more clarity how this smp will work for me. I want to help as much people as i want answering questions and updating with pictures weekly. Hey voipman.- I'm very interested on dermatch now, specially if you say it takes 1 to 2 min and it doesn't really come off the way topik does. do you know if dermatch clugs the poures on the head? The doctor suggest to not use topik for about a month and to try not to even use it because some of this things to cover baldness tend to cover up the poures not letting the hair breath, do you know anything about this? thank you guys
  16. really? the problem with topik is if someone grabs and rubs on your head it will come off, but i got used to using it, where do you buy your dermatch? and does it stain if you lay on a white pillow? i can't use any of this things until about a month after this ht, i was told this things can cover your poured on the head limiting the air and this isn't really a good idea, have you heard of couvre? any thoughts? after you put on dermatch? how long does it take you to put it on? and do you use anything after to have it stay in place? thank you!
  17. hey hows dermatch work for you? i had been using topik and also left my hair at a 1 and you wouldn't notice any sign of hair loss. thank you!
  18. hey guys thank you all for taking the time and replying here. voipman well the doctor told me he could have taken more grafts but this would be a risk for him, since my donor would've gotten thin and a risk he didn't recommend to take, he said 2500 would be taken at max and after a year or two we could revisit again and see if maybe we could take more grafts. I put myself in the doctors hand, i have a lot of trust on dr Hakan and i told him this, so i feel much more happy now, and my hair is a buzz cut so i plan on keeping the back very short and the top about 1 or two. we will see how things turn out. Johnboy71 i don't have more available grafts on the beard as of now unfortunately. but this may change with time. Like i said I'm planning on doing scalp micro pigmentation but I'm still looking for the right place to do this. its my second day after operation and i feel just fine I'm still in turkey my flight leaves on the 9th, i regret staying here too long, but i thought it would be necessary. one more thing i want to add guys is that i just started using laser cap capillus 272, this is an amazing machine that i hope will help a lot with this new growth, i will keep on posting pictures for all of you. And to all you guys out there please give me any input about this, ask any questions id like to connect with as much as you guys as possible! thank you!!
  19. Hello everyone I flew from California to Antalya to have a ht with dr hakan Doganay, its been such a blessing for me to finally have this done, i have lived with hair loss for about 12 years now and it had always been a very dramatic experience. To get to the point, I had this surgery today march 6th 2014, talking back and forth with the doctors stuff we had decided i needed about 4000 grafts to cover all area, unfortunately when the doctor saw me my donor was very weak and they were only able to take 1500 from back of the head and 1000 from beard. The procedure took about 6 hours. i have a short buzz cut about 1.5 all around, very short and i plan on keeping it this way, i had talked to the doctor about scalp micro pigmentation for me, he said this would be a very good idea because of my hair type, i will show some pictures here. His clinic was also able to connect me with a professional make up artist she also performs micro pigmentation and she came to see me, the doctor and her said after about a month i could perform this procedure, and now this is where I'm stuck and I need all you guys help i could get please! she told me id need a retouch after about 4 to 5 years, I'm not sure what type of ink she would use on me, my question to you all: Is there a place you recommend to have this procedure done? Should I go for an ink that will last 4 to 5 years? what can you guys tell me about this, if you have any questions for me feel free to ask thank you to all of you sincerely without this page i would've never met dr hakan, he's a true angel but i wish he was the one performing this smp, i trust him and his work. thank you all
  20. Hello everyone Ive been a member here for about 5 years now I remember starting and reading everyones stories, Been dealing with hair loss since i was 18 I'm 27 now and I'm writing this sitting in a room of the clinic where Dr, Hakan Doganay just performed a surgery for me. Please excuse my grammar english is my second language. Let me start off saying that I found about this doctor through the forums here, i emailed there clinic and they replied to me within a day or two, i sent my pictures and finally decided to do this. It has been a blessing for me since battling with hair loss was truly a dramatic experience. They asked to see my pictures and told me id need about 4000 grafts to cover all areas, i traveled from the states to istanbul, istabul antalya and once the doctor saw me he told me my donor was very week and unfortunately wasn't going to be able to take all this grafts. I had done extend research about scalp micro pigmentation since my hair is very short, this seemed to work for me, the doctor told me that id be able to get about 2000 to 2500 grafts, after the nurses did their job they took 1500 from back of my head and 1000 from my beard. I will show you guys here my pictures before and after, also the doctor found me a lady from turkey who is well known for doing scalp micro pigmentation and he highly recommended her for me, she came to the clinic and saw me, then the doctor decided that the grafts he would take he would put them all over my head so that the micro pigmentation would later come in between the areas most needed. he said id need to wait about a month so the scalp would be all healed and also that shock lost wouldn't yet be there so she could really see the areas where work would be needed. Guys I'm very thankful to every single person in this forum who helped me with all the questions i had. I'm truly thankful to god as well that i was able to come here and have this surgery with Dr. Hakan he's truly a good hearted man, you can tell right away by his presence his sincere smile, he would grabbed my shoulders and rub them after the person would translate that my donor was weak, he felt my pain i think, i left it all in his hands, feel free to comment and ask any questions you guys have. one more thing i wanted to let you guys know, i did laser therapy for about a year when i was 23, and this brought me amazing results, i kept on researching about this and found a home machine called capillus I've been using this for about a week, and plan on using this in the next week again, this is supposed to help tremendously with my new hair growth, i will keep you all updated. to all of you researching about ht, again feel free to ask any questions i will do my best to answer all, keep your faith and once again THANK YOU ALL!
  21. hello everbody! i recently came across this machine is a laser cap capillus 272, i did a laser threatement before for about a year ad a half and got amazing results, I've been trying to look more into this machine its about 2500$ and would like to ask those who are somewhat familiar with this their thoughts on it. i was even told that if you were to use this a few months before hair transplant you wouldn't experience shock loss. i will be having a ht soon and I'm considering getting one of this laser machines to help the new hair any help would be much appreciated! thank you all!
  22. hey man thanks for posting this article, just read and saw the video about Dr. Friedman, I have been told about the capillus 272, someone high recommended even saying if you do this for a few months before a hair transplant and right after hair transplant you wouldn't have shock lost. Not sure how true this is; but this capillus 272 cap definitely has my attention. Its a pricey machine and I'm trying to look more into what users have to say and what doctors have to say, do they recommend this? if you know anything more about this Id highly appreciate your help. thanks a lot!
  23. Hey guys, I have a shaved buzz cut currently looking to have a ht, doctor advised me to have about 4000 grafts 2500 coming from back donor area and 1500 from my beard. Im planning on taking 3 weeks off work i really would like to stay with the shaved buzz cut i have right now, To hide my bald spot which is mainly in the front and crown i use topik which has worked excellent for me; but i understand after this ht (FUE) THERE will be redness on all this areas as well as shock loss; i understand this time is can be depressing for most people so Im wondering if couvre or dermmatch would be something to save me and keep my hair short. thank you in advanced, I appreciate any help
  24. those are amazing results; thumbs up! quick question for you all; I live in the U.S do you know if the cost for hair transplant would be of a more reasonable price in another country? If so any recommendations? I have seen a few doctors in California; the price is high and I just wonder if outside there would be other doctors that you would recommend. thanks in advanced!
  25. Hi! thanks for replying... im not on meds, i tried propecia but didnt like the side effects it had on me. Laser really got my hair looking fuller, i used it for a year, and havent used it for now about 6 months... and my hair still looks the same... my brother when he was my age had less than half of what i have and i believe its because of the laser i did that really got my hair healthier. but I just wondered if laser will always just keep what you have because if thats the case i will continue with laser ... thanks again!
