  1. This patient came to see me when he was 25-year-old and had a hair loss pattern similar to a class 3 on the Hamilton Norwood hair loss scale.  His goal was to rebuild his hairline and add density to the frontal 1/3-1/2 of his scalp. Taking his age and hair loss into consideration we came upon an agreement for what would suite his expectations. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. The patient’s goal was well suited to his needs and therefore I planned the surgery accordingly. I wanted to reconstruct a hairline that would be suitable for him as he continued to age. A total of 2,981 grafts were used with an FUT procedure. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units which allowed me to create a very natural hairline. This action will allow him to comb his hair without anyone detecting that he has had anything done. These are his results 15 months post-op and 6 years post-op.  Everything still looked excellent during his follow-up appointment at 6 years so additional work was not needed. The patient started Finasteride following his surgery and it has been working well well to halt further hair loss.  The patient is extremely happy with his results.

  2. This 56-year-old gentleman had a hair loss pattern similar to a class 5v on the Hamilton Norwood hair loss scale.  His goal was to rebuild his hairline and add density to the frontal 1/2 of his scalp. After establishing his medical history and understanding the progression of his hair loss, I diagnosed his condition as Androgenetic Alopecia (male pattern baldness), ruling out any other possible dermatological or medical conditions which can cause hair loss. I wanted to reconstruct a hairline that would be suitable for his age and also leave enough donor hair to address his crown at a later time. A total of 2,815 grafts were used with FUE method. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units which allowed me to create a very natural hairline. This action will allow him to comb his hair without anyone detecting that he has had anything done. These are his results 9 months post-op and his results will continue to improve over the next 3-6 months. The patient is planning to follow up with another procedure to address the crown at a later time. He is very happy with his results.

  4. This 31-year-old gentleman had a hair loss pattern similar to a class 4v on the Hamilton Norwood hair loss scale.  His goal was to rebuild his hairline and add density to the frontal ½ and get some grafts into his crown. Taking his age and hair loss into consideration we came upon an agreement for what would suite his expectations.

  9. This 29-year-old gentleman had a hair loss pattern similar to a class 4v on the Hamilton Norwood hair loss scale.  His goal was to rebuild his hairline and add density to the frontal 1/3-1/2 of his scalp. The patient and I worked together to draft a plan that would match his expectations. Since his goal was well suited to his needs, this was fairly easy. When I created the surgical plan, I paid close attention to the hairline so that I could give him the natural look he was expecting. I needed to reconstruct a hairline that would be suitable for him as he was going into surgery but also suitable for him as he continued to age.

A total of 3,553 grafts were used. I used a significant amount of single hair follicular units, which allowed me to create a very natural hairline. Since the goal is a natural look, even when you’re combing your hair, this action will allow him to do just that. These are his results 8 months after his surgery.  His results will continue to improve for another 4-7 months. He is very happy with his results thus far.

  10. Back in 2011 this patient came to see me looking to have a hair transplant. At that time, he was similar to a class 3 on the Hamilton Norwood hair loss scale.  His goal was to rebuild his hairline and add density to the frontal 1/3 of his scalp. Taking his age and hair loss into consideration we came upon an agreement for what would match his expectations. At that time, I did 2,105 grafts with a FUT surgery.

He returned to see me in 2018 for a second surgery. At that time, his hair had slightly thinned over the last 7 years and was looking for more density. I determined it would be better to have a FUE procedure this time. He wanted to move forward and therefore we proceeded, augmenting his hairline and adding more density to the frontal ½ of his scalp with 2,505 FUE grafts. The photos presented are a series of pictures spanning from prior to his 1st procedure to 1-year post-op after his 2nd procedure.

We try to obtain the best quality pictures we can outside a professional photo studio. I used 0.8 and 0.9 punches in this particular case, as was very astutely guessed by PlzRespond.
