I've been on this forum for 3 years plus now. I've been told on here told to hold off as long as I can (am 26 now). My temples recessed a little more but can still cover it up with my longer hair.

This PRP treatment is something I'm closely looking at. If the surgeons and patients can show proof that it's the next big thing I would try it for sure, but instead of bashing it because we haven't seen proof yet, why don't we have a few cases we can closely monitor??? I know Dr. Feller and Spex is excellent at putting together excellent photo albums and patient documentations! I'm waiting like everyone else to see the proof first and then sign me up if it looks good!

I say Dr. Paul Shapiro and Dr. Raymond Konior! I always click on their threads when they post them. They are some of the best!

How bout PRP?? I'm 26 and that's what I'm going to try first on my hairline before the H/T route. I also got on Finasteride in January. Ask Dr. Feller about PRP. It seems to work best for people like us although it's extremely new!

I'm 26 and my scalp is extremely movable! I feel I'd be a case where I would have donor stretching. I know this is common for younger patients.

If I was a NW7 I think Dr. Wong could get 10,000 grafts out of my scalp in one session and make it a record, haha!

That's why I'm going to try FUE first. I feel I have no choice for temple and hairline work. But if you have even an average scalp it really helps!

This was the identical case for me too when I visited his office. I spoke with the surgeon 5-10 minutes and felt rushed (drove an hour to get there), while Tom seemed like a George Foreman grill spokesman.

But after being on this site for over three years I can say that Dr. Konior is one of my top 5 surgeons.

If you want a surgeon that you can invite to your house for dinner and get the best transplant as well go to Dr. Shapiro. He's another top 5 for me!

Look up pictures of Ben Stiller in the 90's and pictures of him now. I think he had his hairline and temples restored recently.

I was quoted more than other surgeons from Dr. Konior but his results are always top notch! You get what you pay for! His hairline photos on this website are some of my favorites!

Did Dr. Hasson say with a higher hairline he could achieve a higher density and full coverage? I think it looks great and makes you look much younger!

See if Dr. Konior has any availability for June. You never know... I think he is one of the best! Especially since a lot of his photos on here are of NW2 hairlines. I'm not sure where you are losing hair though?

I hope you will see a bright future for your second transplant! But I have to think that maybe you were a good candidate for shaving your head before the first surgery. I think guys with a darker head can pull it off pretty cool! I know it's too late now with the strip scar though.

Dr. Shapiro is the "Einstein" of Hair Restoration surgeons as far as skill. I met him and he is as nice as they come! It's worth the the drive if you are afraid of flying, haha!

What do you think of Dr. Wong (Hasson & Wong)? He seems to do huge mega sessions with an excellent success rating. I never read one H/T complain on him and he usually performs 5,000-7,000 plus grafts in one session. With your estimated percentage of survival grafts it seems like he would only average 80% success rating. Thanks!

Sounds like I am the ideal candidate. I think I will try this before the HT route since I am 26 and have slight recession in the temples of my hairline. There is miniaturization on the left temple so PRP is sounding great!

Around 1,000 FUE is what I was first thinking of doing. Or doing PRP first and FUE a few months later might be a good idea.

I already sent my e-mail address to Dr. Fellers contact form a short while ago. I would be more than happy to post my results to this great forum!

Dr. Shapiro met with me on his vacation to discuss a similar hairline as to yours. He is one great guy! I'm looking forward to seeing how it will grow for you!

Did he shave any weak hairs in the hairline or temples before the transplant, or you just slicked you hair back and the transplant began?

Also did he ask you if you would be willing to shave your head for the transplant? I know him and his brother prefer shaving, but will always give the patient the option. Thanks!

First off you are going to have an excellent result it looks like! 7,000 grafts in a session might be a record!

I read on the forum that Dr. Paul Shapiro wrote about why he prefers smaller sessions. He said the more grafts transplanted in a session will have a lower overall survival rate. This is due to the amount of time the grafts are waiting to be implanted into the head. Did you discuss this with Dr. Wong? Thanks!

Dr. Epstein told me he had a transplant and it was a fantastic result! So the comparison was a big one!

I kept staring at his head the whole time he was talking to me. It didn't look good or natural in my opinion. Very fine and not dense at all. Kind of pluggy.

I met with Dr. Epstein a few months back for a consultation. I went through his photo album and saw many stellar results. He told me what he could do with my hair and I felt that I could trust him.

He did say that he performs a few surgeries a day but assured me that he doesn't rush his surgeries. I'm still skeptical on this.... I'd prefer being the only case in the day. But to each surgeon their own as long as if they are producing excellent results.

Something that bugged me was his patient coordinator told me Dr. E did his transplant and I praised how well it turned out, because he was very happy with the result. But I wasn't really thinking that. I could tell that was a transplanted head if he passed me walking down a street.
