  1. GQnDn, Sounds good. I understand "Revita" shampoo doesn't leave your hair dried out like Nizoral does, and when I read about it on-line I was happy with the ingredients in contains!! I'm waiting for my order to arrive soon. One tip I read about Finesteride/Propecia/Proscar is for it to work well you've got to be on it for a good long time. One doctor even said" two years".

  2. djdennis, The doctor was probably referring to the laxity of your donor area when he said, pretty tight. I checked out your blog picture and immediately said why only 2300 grafts?? Do you have a long-term plan worked out with the doctor for another HT after this one? You've no doubt got to be excited at this point. Are you aware that there are excersises that you can do to loosen your donor area so as to get a better harvest from the strip the doctor removes?

  3. barley, If there's even the remotest possibility that you get a better yield/ transplant from shaving your head why wouldn't you do it?? If your doctor feels better--for whatever reason while working on you, that your head is shaved it's going to benefit you. I went in to my 2nd HT with my head shaved, and wasn't told to do it. It was just common sense to me that the doctor would have one less thing to deal with.

  4. Michaellovesnyc, I feel the same as you do. A few years back I went to a doctor whose consultant recommended for me 800 grafts. I thought at the time I was getting the real deal, but I didn't know. I really needed 3500 and eventually ended up going to a doctor a few years later that had proven results doing larger sessions. To me that's the way to go whenever possible. There is definitely pros and cons to both sides but I still lean toward the big session theories.

  5. KamCal, I just saw Dr. Hasson last month, and the only thing I could have done differently was to really be specific on the area I wanted filled in. If you can get some more pictures up and let Bill and the others hash it out with you, it would be better. Other than that, don't worry!! The doctor, the techs, the front desk people take such good care of you--you'll just have to see it for yourself! Is there any way you can stay in Vancouver for 10 days or so? I was able to come back after 10 days to let them take the staples out and check on things. You wouldn't regret it at all! Good luck but I don't think you'll need it plus the Canadians are so nice!
