  1. Mike, I understand your point. The only point Im trying to make is that if at 22 you lower your hairline with say 1500 or so grafts what would you do IF in the future you become a full NW7? It seems to me that someone would look aweful foolish with a lower hairline but nothing or very little behind it. Or worst case scenario he receedes very far on the sides and back. I've actually seen 2 gentleman at my gym and 1 at a family BBQ that have had this done and I feel very bad for them because it is SOOO obvious they've had work done. IMO lowering your hairline should never be done until you've determined your future "say between 40-50 years old".

  2. Not nessesarily due to his age, but due to the fact that he is a NW 2.5 with no sign of anything but a SLIGHT recession.

    Seriously, just stick to meds

IMO he doesnt even look like a NW 2. Also I would say yes definatly because of his age he should not think about lowering the hairline. It has been shown that the younger you are when you start losing hair the more bald you CAN become.

  3. Thanks for the explanation Dr. Feller! I know it's early but do you know if with each successive treatment the hair can get thicker or does it just maintain what is achieved in the first treatment? Hope that makes sense to you. Do you have any reson to believe that this treatment is like propecia in where it loses it's effectivness after several years? Thanks!

  4. this guy looks 1000X better! I do think that this looks right on par for 4000 grafts especially because he seems to be below average on the hairs per graft scale which I believe is 2.2. It is still sad however that as natural as this looks if I passed him on the street I would spot his HT from a mile away.

Doc, does this gentleman have any donor left? If so where would you place the grafts? The "water around the island" should get the most attention IMO.

  5. How do I determine whether or not I have MPB or there is some other underlying issue causing hair loss? Can a doctor/dermatologist tell me? I ask because I am the baldest person in my family. I have one uncle in his 50's who is a NW3 and my father is a NW3 and thats it. Everyone else has a full head of hair.

  7. $800 is very expensive considering PRP is not yet a proven solution to hairloss. In 2 years when everyone who has had the procedure done is raving about it then I would consider spending $800. How many times do you have to have these procedures done? Once, Once year, 2 times a year??? If more than 1 time a year then this will not be an option for alot of people even if it has proven itself!

  8. Ronj,

Are you here to help or antagonize people? Seems like the latter! Looking thru this thread and others it seems to be more important to you to pick a fight then it does to give valuable itput. Although you do use unecessarily big words.

  9. I can only assume that Dr. Feller is a very busy man. Although he does spend alot of time posting here. I had the same problem trying to set up a consult with him so I moved on to other consults with other surgeons. Your best bet is to talk to Spex.

  10. Ron,

I'm confused. Are you a patient or physician? There is no indication in your forum signature that you are or work with a hair restoration clinic

Bill, in case you havent noticed Ronj is joker. I think he's just trying to be funny.

bllorayne, Looks like your back to using all CAPITAL letters. Come on man you can get your point accross with out emphasizing EVERY WORD!

  11. I've tried the big 3! Dermatch, toppik, and nanogen and would have to say it depends on how long your hair is. Dermatch for short hair though it looks a little chalky and Nanogen for longer hair. The only thing I find wrong with nanogen is that it doesnt bond well to short hair. Toppik is also a little chalky.
