  1. Hi Time to do ST, I notice it is almost a year now since your HT. How are things progressing? Will it be possible for you to get rid of the piece? Just wondering.
  2. You'll forgive my skepticism, but your post seems a bit 'Sales-like' and given that you havent posted here before I also would like to see pictures of your claims of Dutas (Generic Dutasteride). regards, hs
  3. Here is that H&W scalp exercise video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOQX_WyLosA hth, hs.
  4. Hi Irish, The front there seems to be coming along nicely and I've no doubt that you will see some more coming in in the following months. Did you experience much shock loss overall? hs
  5. BeHappy, It is not my intention to attack your credibility but rather to give balance to the question. As someone who tried out the Lasercomb for several months, I can say that I did experience something - a LOT of SHEDDING! I also experienced expedited greying in the safe zone (ugh!). I did stick with it in the hope that things would improve but it definitely did more harm than good! hs
  6. Here are quotes relating to the Lasercomb from this forum. paris_caine lasercomb is a whole lot of nothing, a mega-size rip-off, from what i have heard. you are better off spending your money on medication and future HTs. Mrjb There is no substantial evidence that it regrows hair.. I wouldn't waste money on it.. JakeVig But I have yet to find any photographic evidence that shows a real cosmetic difference. Even on their website the before and after pics are not impressive at all. If even the best hand picked results are not impressive... spex ....total waste of time and money... FacelessMan ...it has minimal results... zerro Funny terry... Yeah, you could probably pick one up at the local dump for free. I think that doc must have been some kick backs from that there light-saber company Bill There is no proof that the lasercomb, revivogen, or any other "natural" hair loss remedy really does anything to combat hair loss. rp1979 Is it fair to call Revivogen or the FDA-approved Hairmax Lasercomb for that matter a "SCAM" wanthairs I have been using the lasercomb....the expensive one...got it long ago when ti first came out, before I ever heard of this or any other hairloss forum...That was back in the day when I used every single snake oil, gadget, inversion table, cleaning agents etc... NOTHING WORKED APART FROM A HAIR TRANSPLANT !!!! parable I tried the Lasercomb and didn't think it did all that much.. Used it for a couple of months and although the hairs feels nicer and fuller straight after usage the effects were off!!...NO regrowth with it!... Toad_NW3 I use the lasercomb for cosmetic reasons but I do not believe that it causes me to have MORE hair. Do read Dr. Alan Feller's analysis of LLLT (Low Level Light Therapy) http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/146...861/m/8241085633/p/1 http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/146...861/m/8241085633/p/2 hs
  7. I think BeHappy is the only member I have seen on this forum that says that it DOES actually work. Anyone else that has used it will tell you the opposite. The use of the word 'Laser' is supposed to make you think that the device has some mystical power.
  8. From patient accounts and pictures, both on this forum end elsewhere, I do believe that Dr. Kiely has done decent work in the past. However his max graft count seems to be about 1500-1600 in one sitting, far less than most normal mega sessions done by any of the coalition docs. (There is a thread to this effect on this forum but it eludes me at present). As for Dr. Collins, I have not seen prices HIGHER than his anywhere else. Pat did acknowledge that he was doing good quality work, but due to his excessive charges could not recommend him. For anyone in Ireland considering a HT, I would recommend looking at any of the top coalition docs in the US, given the current Euro-Dollar exchange rate. hs
  9. Hi Chris, The second doc recommended trying Finpecia for 3 months before any surgery, but you may not see any results for about 8 months so you may want to allow longer for your evaluation of the med. You may indeed discover that you don't need a HT after the evaluation but this is not guaranteed of course. Rogaine and Finasteride meds can have a synergistic effect and can SOMETIMES give results as shown: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/showthread.php?t=149286 Keep the faith, hs
  10. Hi Bill, I think it may be interesting to have the live chat a bit earlier to allow members on this side of the Atlantic to participate. I believe there is enough interest to warrant trying this for one session at least. Would suggest 19:00 or 20:00 EST. I realize there could be an issue with people not being home from work... My 2c, hs
  11. Not Sure, Quite a few people (incl myself) have a bad scalp reaction to the glycerol in the liquid version of Rogaine. If Rogaine worked for you before, then the foam version might be a viable alternative for you. Good luck! hs
  12. Indeed it will. Like Propecia, you must continue using it indefinitely.
  13. Minoxidil will only grow hair where the hair already exists (may be in a miniaturized state). If the follicle has been dormant for some time, then it will not grow. Also some people find the glycerol in the liquid version of Minoxidil irritant to the scalp. The foam version may be an option in this case.
  14. Just to add to this thread, is jet black hair significantly more detectable than fair hair due to the contrast between root & scalp when it comes to HT results?
  15. Hi Dr. Beehner, Just to clarify, what happens to the hairs in this 1.5mm of scalp? As this section is excised at partial depth, does this not damage the hair follicles? Thanks in advance,
  16. Mrjb, have you noticed much additional hair growth while on Propecia? Also, have you seen noticed any/much dropoff in its effectiveness over time?
  17. From my own experience of these magical lasers, they don't work. I used the one you mentioned and found that it 'stressed' out the follicles and only made the problem worse. Don't be fooled by all these fantastic extra features. As far as I can see, HT and Propecia are the only effective options.
