Bill, I don't have a previous picture of the top of my head, but I promise to post a new pic within three weeks. I think that there is a good chance that most people would see some regrowth with this method of application, because I had only little to moderate regrowth while taking Proscar(and recently Dutas)orally. Using this method, I got amazing results. The result I got in 3 weeks, looks like what products claim they can produce in 6 months to a year. I guess we will know in a few weeks as people try it. We'll keep monitoring.

Giants, Dutas comes in brown capsules. I use a pin to punch a hole and I squeeze the liquid out. I never saw Avodart but it should be the same.

Ok Guys, Because pictures seem to be so important, I got my wife to take a picture of the top of my head. Much of the hair has already regrown (I estimate that it has doubled in thickness), but it is still a bit thin. Based on my results so far, I expect that it would be full in about 3 weeks, so I will post a picture then. I am sorry, but I do not have a previous pic of just the top of my head. One thing I did not say in my first post was that when I started, I used the Dutas both on going to bed and on waking. After about 3 days, I switched to 0.5mg at nights only, and later, I reduced the dosage to 0.25mg at nights only. I will keep you guys updated. I will be sure to take the new picture with the same camera and in the same lighting so that the true amount of progress can be seen.

Guys, I am sorry that you all are not able to benefit from my discovery immediately because of the skepticism, but I am sure that some persons will try it, and report the results, and more and more persons would gradually be able to benefit. I did my part by letting everyone know what I found. I blame those who spread false stories for the delay in acceptance. I probably would have reacted the same way too. I will be monitoring the forum and I look forward to seeing some results soon.

Guys, I understand the skeptisim because so many people make so many claims that turn out to be untrue. I know that it is impossible to try everything that everyone says, so you have to question it first. I would like to encourage those who are already using Dutas to simply rub some on their scalp and follow it with Minoxidil and report the results. This would help the others to gain confidence in what I have reported. Please also take some pictures before you start. I have nothing to gain from this financially. I am motivated to post this to everyone because I know firsthand how frustrating going bald can be, and I just want to help others not to have to go through the same emotional distress I have experienced. I really do expect that it would work for most persons to a good extent since I received only little to moderate results while using it internally, and unbelievable results while rubbing it on. To Hairscout, again, I understand your reason for being skeptical. I only mentioned Dutas because that was what I used, but Avodart would work just as well because it is really the active ingredient Dutasteride that is doing the job. Even Proscar (active ingredient Finasteride) should work also, but it is not as strong as Dutasteride. For those of you who do go ahead and try what I did (the direct to scalp application), be sure to post your results so that others can benefit. I will be looking for to seeing the results as well.

Hello All, I found a way to regrow hair effectively and I would like to share it with everyone. I tried using Dutas in a different way and I got AMAZING results. In just three weeks, I got the kind of results you see when companies advertize their products with impressive before and after photos. As you all know, those results are usually not attainable and is supposed to take six months to a year to achieve. Based on the rate at which my hair has regrown within the last three weeks, I expect that I will have no sign of balding in the next three weeks. WHAT DID I DO? I simply punched the capsule with a pin and I put the Dutas directly on my scalp and rubbed it in. I then immediately put Minoxidil on my scalp, and rubbed it in again. I did this every night. In the morning, I used Minoxidil only. NOTE: The Minoxidil might not be necessary, to get those good results, but I am just stating exactly what I did. MY HISTORY. Here is more about me and my history of fighting hair loss. I am how 37 years old and I started loosing my hair since about 21. I used Rogaine for a few years and this caused my hair loss to slow down considerably. I then started using Proscar when I was about 29. This seemed to help further, and sometimes I felt that I may had regrown a little bit of hair. On the whole however, over the past 16 years, I had been loosing hair. I got to the point where the whole of the top of my head had thin hair. Even in dim light, it was very easy to see that I was going bald. SIDE EFFECTS. Over the years, while using Proscar, I noticed that I had been getting a bit of belly fat. I figured that it was the natural process of aging. About four months ago, I started using Dutas and I noticed that I put on a lot more belly fat. I stopped using the Dutas and tried not to change my diet and other habits, and my belly fat started going away. This is what inspired me to try putting it on my scalp. The idea was that the Dutas would soak directly into my follicles and thus provide them with a high concentration of Dutas, while a relatively small amount of the drug, would enter my blood stream. This seems to be exactly what is happening since I am getting amazing hair regrowth while my belly fat is gradually being reduced. By the way, I have stopped using Proscar, which might also help with the reduction of the belly fat. Based on the research I have done, with less DHT in the body, the effects of estrogen are felt more, one of which is increased belly fat in men. WARNING: SINCE WOMEN AND CHILDREN ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HANDLE THE PILLS, MEN PUTTING THE DUTAS ON THEIR SCALP WOULD HAVE TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID OTHERS LYING ON THEIR PILLOWS ETC. CONCLUSION: Based on my results, men with thinning hair can FINALLY regain a FULL head of hair, with minimal side effects. NOTE that I did not experience shedding, but this could be because I had been using Proscar before. So men who never used Proscar or Dutas before may experience shedding. MY GOAL: I want to spread the word because I know that many men would be so happy to finally be able to solve their hair loss problem. DOSAGE: I started using 0.5mg daily, on my scalp, for the first 4 days. I then changed to using only 0.25mg. I figured that the 0.25mg covered my whole scalp, so I did not need to use the whole 0.5mg. I suppose that the Dutas could even be used less frequently since it has a long half life. After regrowing my hair, I will try apply the Dutas less frequently to further reduce any side effects, while mantaining the desired hair density.
