If you've had the area shaved the native hair in the transplanted area won't grow back to a couple of month post op. Ultimately, you should follow your HT Doctor's Post Op instructions.

I'm in the UK so I could only do an online consult. Dr. Rahal recommended 2500, I got 2803 and I'm very happy.

Do you mean your remaining native hair or newly transplanted hair? I wouldn't mess with the transplanted area for atleast a month.

It depends, where did you deposit your load? Were you wearing the surgical cap?

Hi CR, Your hair looks great and you have lots more to come. My crown HT was about 60% done at 9 months and I was still noticing a difference after the 12 month mark.

Hey Guys & Gals, I've changed my name to El Nino. I'm nearly 16 months post op and I think I'm nearly done so I thought I'd update with some styled pics. I would like to thank everyone again for sharing their knowledge and stories. Especially the veteran members (Bill, Spex, etc) who have helped me to educate myself about HTs. I have to say it has been a long journey and the waiting for growth and then maturing has been harder than I thought. I know it's a cliche but PATIENTS really is the key word. No-one has asked me if I've had anything done but I think people who've known me a long time suspect something. Even though the crown isn't seen as much as the hairline. The best thing is that people who I've just met are guessing my age upto 10 years younger than I am. :-) These pics are in natural light with no flash and there is gel in my hair.

Hi azn_guy, After looking at your recent pics I agree with Bill and you should use the Meds for a year.

I think everyone gets cold feet, it wouldn't be normal not to. I totally agree with LMS - go with your gut instinct.

Hi AG, I would recommend taking some more pics now in natural light with dry hair and no flash. From the pics you look to be a NW 3 vertex. Is your hair loss stable now? What is your family history of hair loss? Dr. Rahal has many patients who go to him from Korea, so many in fact he has a Tech from there who translates for him. You should check him out along with the other top doctors.

Hi, 1. I had the op done on a Tuesday. I saw Dr. Rahal again the next day and on the Friday. I flew home Sunday evening. 2. I had to wait 5 months. I'm sure they could get you in for October, especially with you being local. Hope this helps, if you have any questions just ask.

Hi SG, My Doctor was fine when I told him I was going for a HT. He didn't know much about them and asked me how they were done. There was no charge for the tests. He gave me a slip with what tests needed to be done and I went to my local Hospital. I went back to my Doctor the next week for the results, which they printed out and gave me a copy. I then scanned and emailed them to Adrian. Hope this helps, if you have any questions just ask.

I used a few pillows. I tried the neck pillow but I didn't like it.

You should only have to stop it a couple of weeks before surgery and then start again two weeks after the op. You should contact H&W for their instructions. I noticed with Rogaine Foam that it made my hair feel and look thicker after I applied it. I've stopped using it now and haven't lost anymore hair.

I wouldn't let any Surgeon in Ireland touch my head. You should go to someone recommended on this site. Remember, don't let distance be a factor when choosing.

Hi Declan, HDC only do consultations in London, they perform surgery in Cyprus. 1. Yes, I've seen some good results from them. 2. No, 4000 grafts will cost you 10600 Euro. 3. No, your doctor or a nurse can take them out. I'm from the UK and I flew to Dr. Rahal in Canada and I'm thrilled with my result. 4000 grafts with Dr. Rahal will cost you 8745 Euros in today's exchange rate. Hope this helps

A rough guide for the number of grafts you'll need is to multiply your level of baldness by 1000. A 3000 graft session with Dr. Rahal will cost you $12075 CAD. By preparation I take it you mean how long you'll have to wait to get it done. I had to wait 5 months for my procedure but I had to fly from the UK. With you being local maybe they could get you in earlier. MR. GQ, Thanks for the compliment. I've gone from a NW 3 Vertex to the look of a full head of hair with a slightly thinning crown. Which is great with only 2800 grafts and like you say the crown being a black hole. Thinline, Dr. Rahal does insist on shaving, I didn't choose to. I paid about $10000 CAD for mine including flights, hotels, etc. Check out Dr. Rahal's website for his current prices.
