  1. Hi Guys. I am 7 weeks post op with Rahal. He did a great job as expected. I just have a few questions for whoever will answer them. Can anyone recommend any creams or gels or anything else that can speed up getting of the redness in the recipient area? Im heading to a wedding in 5 weeks and I would love if the redness was gone. What have you used? Thanks guys.

  3. Hi there. Like you Im from Ireland and looking for a hair transplant. I did plenty of research and decided that there was no way I was staying in Ireland for it. It took me a while but I narrowed my choice down to two surgeons. Dr Feller in New York and Dr Rahal in Canada. I chose Dr Rahal in the end and have my op in 4 weeks. You should check these two surgeons out. They are in most peoples top 5 on this site.
  4. Hi Guys. Just wanted to say thanks to all who have answered my posts and sent me private messages. This really is a great community and it is a credit to all who post here , especially its great moderators. With all of your help and advice I have booked my procedure with Rahal on June 25th. It feels weird that I have actually booked after spending so long trying to decide who to go with. At the start of my research before I discovered this website I was actually considering having the Choi procedure in Athens. Thankfully I found this site. Thanks again guys and of course I will answer any private messages should I be able to offer any advice to others.

  6. I Did choose yes . It's Rahal. thanks to all who helped me choose. Surgery is in June.
  7. I am no expert on hair transplants. FACT!. Most of what I have learnt is from this website alone and its members. What I do know is that before I discovered this website I had a consultation with a surgeon offering the choi method and I remember after the consultation thinking what a joke it was. It promted me to look much much harder on the internet for advice and thankfully I never chose choi. I am still searching and researching and I would simply urge others to do the same before choosing any method or surgeon. I myself am still between minds of what surgeon to choose but I know that it will not be anyone who uses the choi implanter. Just my opinion.
  8. Has anyone from Dublin used Dr Rahal? If so can you tell me who you flew with and what the prices were?. Im between minds of going to either Feller or Rahal. I just cant decide between them but I know that Feller is much easier and cheaper to get to from Dublin. Flights to Ottawa to see Dr Rahal are much more expensive from Dublin plus most airlines don't even fly there direct, or every day. I like both surgeons equally and I want to make the experience as easy as possible on myself, so having to make one or two connection flights to reach Dr Rahal is putting me off a little. I know most of you would advise that travel or price should not come into the decision making, but, when you have narrowed it down to just two surgeons, what else can you do but consider travel price and convenience?

  10. Hey guys. Im still doing my research, looking at flights , hotels, surgeon prices. Im thinking either Feller or Rahal for my procedure. Feller definitely seems to be easier to get to from Ireland with flights going direct every day from Dublin. Rahal is a little harder to get to but he is a bit cheaper. I want the travel and accommodation to be as little stress as possible as I know the procedure will be stressful enough. Has anyone else from Dublin used either of these surgeons? Any travel or hotel recommendations?
  11. Hi Guys. Well I got a prescription from the doc for proscar. I bought a pill splitter and split a pill into quarters. I took my first dose of 1.25mg tonight and after about two hours I felt a bad headache coming on. Is this normal? Maybe 1.25 mg is too much to start on?
  12. Well I am a little closer to my choice of surgeon thanks to you guys who have posted responses and answered my private messages. I am so so grateful. Now here is another angle. If money or distance was no objet.....(I live in Ireland) Who would you choose?
  13. I don't mind shaving my hair if its going to benefit me in the long run. I have been wearing a baseball cap for the last few years so as long as I could wear a cap or a soft wool hat when I go out into public then I wouldn't mind having short hair with the transplant area exposed. I know that there are a lot of you who probably had most or all of these surgeons on your list before you had your transplants. May I ask how you eventually choose one of these docs over the others in the end. I know Im kinda repeating myself again but Im really looking for what reasons you guys had for picking one as opposed to the other. What factors did you consider? Thanks to all who have offered advise already. It is invaluable to me. I am listening.
  14. It will be strip with trico. Cant imagine I will be suitable for fue.
  15. Hi all who read this. I will be brief. I have been reading hundreds of posts on countless threads on this site and I feel I have learned lots. Thanks to you all for that. I have had several on line consultations with the top surgeons such as Dr Feller, Hasson & Wong, Dr Rahal, Dr True and Dr Farjo. based on my photos they have all said that I need 3000+ grafts to fill in the hairline. I feel that I am ready to book my procedure now but I simply don't know who to choose. Every time I read a new thread or see someone's photo of a successful procedure I am changing my mind about who to go with. Is anyone else in this position. How do I narrow it down from here? I would really appreciate any advice from anyone and I am planning to document my journey with posts and pics on this forum.
