  1. Thank you so much guys for your comments. With out your support it (choosing great doctor like Feller,suggestions..etc )would have not been possible for me to get this result.Thank you Through out my 11 months I just followed well known regimen proscar(1/4 every day ),nizoral 2%(3 times per week),MSM(3000mg/day) and minoxidil5%(twice ). Actually I used minoxidil on recipient area also which I guess helped to grow faster.
  2. Hello guys, I added my 11 months post op pictures. Thank you so much for your support. Please comment.

  5. I have been using Nizoral(2%) 2 times per week for 1 year. Recently I added Nioxin 2 times per week. I really like nizoral shampoo for reducing DHT and of course dandruff. B Spot, I can not comment on Nioxin since I haven't used it for a period of time. Do you observe more shedding with nioxin(particularly with scalp treatment)?I heard that it happens initial stages and of course should not stay longer than 2 weeks.
  6. I'm using minoxidil(5%) for 1 year. I observed facial hair on the cheeks but I never felt dizzyness.
  7. Thank you NervousNelly for your suggestion. I agree with you that products are different from person to person. I use it for some days and decide. Thanks..
  8. hi frineds, I just started using nioxin alternatively along with nizoral. (My regimen is proscar 1/2 every other day+nizoral 2times/week+minoxidil +nioxin 2times/week ) But I felt heavy hair shedding particularly when I'm applying conditioner(nioxin scalp therapy). I read in nioxin website like ----- " Will NIOXIN?® cause hair loss? .... Some individuals after being on the system for a period of time begin seeing daily hair loss numbers increase and are concerned that the Bionutrient Formulations system is causing this hair loss. Hair fall out can increase when you first begin the proper cleansing and treatment of the scalp. This is only a temporary situations and should not exceed two weeks. If it does exceed two weeks, discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor or dermatologist. " ------ I know when you shampooing you definitely see lot of hair fall. So please share your experiences with NIOXIN in early days?Did anybody has bad experience with it?How to determine whether it is doing bad or not? thank you all.

  12. Elastic, I'm also 26 yrs old.Recently I had HT with D.r.Feller.Below find my procedure I followed to select the surgeon. 1.I went through this website http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/ and select some of the top reputed surgeons (not based on the geographical region or money) and sent them good clarity pictures in different angles (top, front, left and right). >>select left hand side 'FREE HAIR CONSULT' >>in the next steps you can give your details, you can choose the doctor and also attach images. >>Otherwise you can click on doctor name it takes you to the particular doctor website and click on virtual consultaion link . 2.When sending my pictures I asked how many grafts I needed.(I also sent them 'desired view' picture where I drew hair line how I would like to see ) 3.After getting all the information I called some of them to clarify some of the things 4.Maintained excel sheet and put all the doctors there to see overall picture...consists forum feedback(particularly any negeive experience),cost, place, possible appointment time,my feedback(..how they clarified my doubts)... 5.selected 3 doctors out of them and went to their clinic...then decided. Might be helpful this..good luck!.

  15. I came back from NY and get started my work.It was wonderful experience with Feller and his staff. Thanks to Dr.Feller and his staff for the good work. After surgery I went to the hotel and spent the night there. Next day I visited some of my friends places in NJ.Sunday I returned back to my place. On first day I felt pain and used pain killers. From second day I started applying ice to my forehead (I wish could have done from first day!).It gave me great relief and reduced the swelling.I did not use saran wrap eventhough I took it. Little bit swelling occurred on first 3 days but it was reduced gradually. Make sure to sleep upright so that fluids will not go down which prevent from swelling.I took two pillows and towel around neck to get the posture. It worked well for me.First day night was horrible I could not able to sleep at all due to the donor area pain(still its paining ,so I'm doing side sleeping). When I called to Feller office about this the receptionist told me it was natural and told that she would not recommend anything other than keeping clean of both donor and recipient are clean. And also she suggested to take more proteins in the diet.It seems to be there is great difference after the removal of staples. So do you guys suggest anything to heal donor area fastly? Aloe vera!!after how many days I can apply both donor and recipient area? Is it quite common to have pain when I touch it?(its 6th day!). Please find my 5th day post-op pictures with my digicam.Sorry it might not that much clear.Actually I requested my post-op pictures but so for I did not get it from the clinic. please share your ideas on my pics. Thank you all for your support.
  16. Based on the experience of fellow Ht patients I summarize my post operational instructions for first week. Please share your ideas. --saline solution sprayed on the grafts a number of times a day --over sized base ball cap cover with wet sarane wrap before placing the cap so that recipient area/grafts will not be stick to the cap --travel pillow --doctor prescribed pain killers Thank you guys.

  18. Hello Guys, After I did thorough research and went through all the posts in this forum I have decided to go with Dr.Feller.I'm 26 ,scheduled next week around 2500 gratfs to cover my frontal and mid scalp area.He clarified all of my concerns about the surgery. In the discussion which I had with Dr.Feller, I felt his suggested hair line seems to be little bit higher. When I asked him then he told me that it does not look natural If it comes down.So I think this is the only thing I need to discuss with him on the day of surgery. I really thankful to all of the forum members for their valuable posts and sharing their experiences(ofcourse to moderator PAT ) which cleared my way of choosing the doctor. My frineds(not in US also hair fellow sufferers )got astonished to see this wonderful website and helpful people here when I first told them(Thanks to internet!!).Even though, they are far from here they will be updated latest trends in HT and about surgeons. Please find my before pics and I'll keep everyone updated on my progress. Wish me luck..nervous..excited...Thanks again
