Thanks for your kind words. Doctor said that his philosophy on the size and number of follicular units placed in the recipient area differs depending on the hair color, hair characteristics, facial characteristics, ethnicity and age. Usually the hairline and temples are recreated using one and two hair follicular units for the first one inch. After that we use three and four to fill in the midfront areas for density. As for the crown, we use one and two hair for the center of the whirl and as we move to the periphery we use three and four hair follicular units. The three and four hair units are placed in the 19 and 18 gauge needles. This technique gives alot more density with less number of grafts. Again the number of ones, twos and threes differrs for each individual depending on the facial and hair color and features.

Hi, I hope you are well. You should have a follow up visit scheduled by next week. That is when we check every thing to make sure it is healed properly and then let you know about weight lifting and so on. If you have a lot of unanswered questions please contact Dr. Meshkin and he will go over all your questions and concerns. You have his direct number on the post op sheet. And btw it is ok to pick on your scabs, but when you come for your follow up visit we will clean all the scabs for you. Have a nice 4th of July weekend.

Hi, I hope you are well and thanks for your comments about Dr. Meshkin and his staff , we are glad you had a nice experience with us. Dr. Meshkin already responded to your concern via email. However, do not worry sometimes some native hair falling off is normal it will grow out in a few weeks. The transplaned hair that is attached to the follicles also detaches from the follicles and falls off with the scabs and that is normal too. The follicles will remain and will start to grow out in three to four months. And yes we are also excited to see your full grown out result.....keep on posting

Hello everyone, Thanks for the complements. Actually this patient just came in for his followup and we decided to use his pictures today. We have taken more pictures and I will find some that shows the hair in the top area and post them by next week. There are many reasons Dr. Meshkin chose to do 2500 grafts and one was financial. At our office, we can achieve this kind of result with 2500 grafts and that is the reason a lot of our clients come to us. I think ultimately it is about the number of hairs being transplanted and not just the number of grafts. I think we should not just focus on the number of grafts, and if an excellent doctor can achieve excellent result with less number of grafts then so be it, lets have our hats off to him.

hello I hope you are doing well , it looks like you are healing well. I just wanted to make a comment since I felt some of the comments here have made you think as you said. Each Doctor has their own style of hair transplant and no two Doctor does their work exactly the same and that is what makes them unique in their own way. If for some reason the style we use is not what some one likes then they go to a doctor they prefer to do their work. However, at the end of the day it is the final result that counts. most of our patients that come to us see our before and after work and see what we can do with for example 3000 grafts and they get very impressed and that is why they choose us. Of coarse they can go to another doctor and have 6000 grafts done and pay three times as much and have the same results. It is their choice and they choose the style of the doctor that they go to for their transplant. But again at the end of the day it is the final result that counts. So Please do not worry and do not rush into any judment because our style of work is not to someone' s liking. Lets all have patience and see in a few months what happens.

I agree that both doctors work are very impressive, I definately suggest that you look at the pictures that are posted in this forum and decide on your own.

Thanks for the complements. He is 24 years old. We had a long discussion before his surgery about doing the surgery at a young age. He came in a few times before the procedure, last time with a parent. As for the medication, it was also discussed in full detail about consequences of not using any. We try to encourage it but the patient always has the final say.

This patient just came in for a follow up a few days ago. Needless to say that he was very happy with the results. He likes to style his hair combing down, but we took some pictures combing up so you can get an idea of how full it actually is.
