  1. Dr. Meshkin used the FUT technique using trichophytic closure. Using this technique, Dr. Meshkin is able to minimize the scarline by making the hair grow into the scar. If the patient heals well, the line is virtually impossible to detect after healing. We will be posting more pictures of the donor area from now on so you can see for your self.
  2. I just added a couple of unshaved pictures. what do you think?
  3. Class IIII MPHL 2 year post op Transplanted areas: -Front -Mid Scalp -Some in crown
  4. thanks for the comments. My intention to showcase this patient was to show that if done properly, you can get virtually no scar line using the FUT or strip method. We use Trichophytic closure on all of our patients and as you can see even with short hair you can not detect the line.
  5. Yes each doctor has their own system. Some doctors only use one hair units and therefore they may recommend 3000 grafts which amounts for 3000 hairs. In our office we use combination of one, two and three hair units. So in this particular case our 1500 grafts had a yeild of 3000 hairs. So it is important to not only look at the number of grafts but also the number of hairs in each case.
  6. Yes in this case it was 1200 to maximum of 2000 grafts. If a client chooses to do the minimum it is with the understanding that additional surgery may be required to get the optimal density in the future. For those who are familiar with our work, we can get superb results with less number of grafts than other clinics.
  7. thanks for the comments. We usually give a minimum and maximum number of grafts to get optimum results. Th patient ultimately chooses the final number of grafts according to their budget. In addition, when Dr. Meshkin is designing the hairline and the temples and making the incisions in the recipient site, he always makes sure he pays attention to how the patient wants to style their hair and makes the sites accordingly.
  8. Thanks for the compliment. By the way this is FUT or the strip technique, even with shorh hair cut there is no visible scarring.
  9. 1500 grafts done in the frontal hairline and temples. 1 year post op 500 one's 500 two's 500 three's Total of 3000 hairs Pre op pictures, immediate after, 2 week post op and 1 year post op pictures
  10. Class 3 MPHL 3000 grafts 2 year post op Transplant mostly in front area, some in crown area.
  11. Hello, I am a patient advocate for Dr. Meshkin. I agree with Jotronic, the pictures are very blurry. Also on the pre op pictures clearly the patient is thinning in the mid scalp and the crown areas. The immediate post op shows that the work was only done in the frontal hairline and the temples. I do not see any grafts in the mid scalp and the crown. However, the post op pictures show no thinning in the mid scalp and the crown, if this is the same patient there is significant improvement in those areas.
  12. Class 5-6 MPHL 3000 grafts 2 years post op Most of the grafts were transplanted in front and some in crown area
  13. Each clinic's approach is different and therefore the number of grafts may also differ as well. If you were our patient and your concern was to rebuild the hairline and also get density to the mid scalp to the crown areas, we would recommend about 2500 grafts. We would use the one and two hair units for the frontal hair line and the three hair units in the mid scalp to crown for density.
  14. Thanks for the comments, I think he looks pretty good and he is very happy
