3. Ken, thanks for the info... maybe Pat should add the link in "Links" page on Hairtransplantnetwork.com Signature:Please click here to vote for the doctor you would go to if you needed a hair transplantation today!
4. arfy, Atleast one doctor in recommended list on this website charges by area. (frontal, midscalp, etc.) I had a consultation with one of them. I personally liked him... His claim is that he never looked at HT that way.
quote:
Minigrafts are not as an efficient use of your limited donor supply. There is a mathematical basis for this, which I can get into if you want to. Could you explain the "mathematical basis" for me please ?? Thank you. 5. Vocor1, Why do you need a fine tuning? do you have some issues with your hairline ? or is it something else ? please explain thanks! PD Signature:Please click here to vote for the doctor you would go to if you needed a hair transplantation today!
6. can all those of you complaining of itching, also tell which shampoo you are using ? lets try to understand this.. i used to get a lot of itching earlier when I had hell a lot of dandruff.. I switched to "Head And Shoulders" and voila ! all itching & dandruff is gone.. i tend to believe that flaking, dandruff can also cause itching but dont know about hair loss.. i must say i have been losing hair for about 10 yrs now.. and have no idea if it has stabilized. probably not. 7. Hello everyone, if you are from north east, and had a surgery with Dr. Rose either at Minnesota or at Tampa, Florida, please respond.. Thanks in advance, PD Signature:Please click here to vote for the doctor you would go to if you needed a hair transplantation today!
8. solid, a lot of good doctors recommended here also charge by areas and not by number of grafts.. about moving more grafts, did you ask for it and he said he cannot do it? one thing they need is staff to perform big sessions.. or he might have thought he didnt want to scare you away by quoting a higher price for large session, it could be anything... i dont think it is true that the longer you wait the better results are going to be.. i leave this question to those who had HT done.. i am planning to put away my workouts, etc. for atleast 3-4 weeks. do a lot of reading on this website, you will learn a lot.. and you can give back teh knowledge to other newbies, like i am doing now Signature:Please click here to vote for the doctor you would go to if you needed a hair transplantation today!
9. Tedd, Looks good... good choice in the conservative hairline... pics are not bad, i am not a good photographer myself and hence one thing i avoid is taking pics in dark or at night... next time, take 'em standing at a window or soemthing (like your first row)they will be much better.. Good luck. i'll be tracking you.. Signature:Please click here to vote for the doctor you would go to if you needed a hair transplantation today!
10. guys, sorry for the long post.. Tedd2wds, Hey Tedd! sorry i just realized the name mix-up..that was funny..lol.. i gotta keep myself awake from now while posting.. So you have been taking proscar/propecia long before HT.. so you are going to have the best result.. Texasnw2, i dont think you had a HT yet.. looks like almost everyone is on propecia/proscar! Vocor1, I have not even got on propecia, let alone Minoxidil ! I am also probably not going to use minoxidil as I am quite good at my crown/vertex(?) although a few doctors claim that it works on frontal unlike what is written on the box.. i guess i am just lazy and dont like the inconvenience when there is not too much benefit All, guys, I had talked to a lot of doctors, not one said propecia has any permanent adverse affects..and i know that it does not have any permanent side effects, but I dont feel comfortable using it.. i am the kind of guy willing to fight sicknesses for sometime and avoid medicines taken in.. (unless ofcourse the sickness becomes really unbearable ) but i dont know yet, one fine day i might say, "screw it,i'll take propecia" Now, my question is, is HT going to be worthy at all if one doesnt take propecia/proscar ? I had seen guys (who refuse to take propecia) who had good hair 1yr after HT and go back to "really" sparse and "see-through" hair because all native hair has been lost! that looks really awful and unnatural , unless one went with "really" dense packing and has coarse, curly, etc kind of hair. Has any of you know members here ( other than bverotti! ) who had a great HT and had still looked wonderful after his native hair has fallen off ?? i guess it all depends on how close the grafts were placed ! dont you think ? 13. Phl, Can we get a clear closeup please ?? Did Dr. Beehner use doubled FUs? is there some see-throughness ?? Thanks, PD Signature:Please click here to vote for the doctor you would go to if you needed a hair transplantation today!
14.
quote:
Nizoral should be used twice a week for the first few weeks or less (depending on results) and eventually no more than once a week. You can also use a volumizing shampoo on one day, a DHT inhibitor on another two days and maybe yet another moisturizing shampoo on the final day of the week. By providing your scalp with a variety of care and stimulus, you will achieve a good all-round effect. Max, What shampoo are you referring to as a DHT inhibitor ?? Thank you. 15. SlaveToMyGenetics, the higher the effort to learn the technology, talk/meet doctors and their patients, the better off you are.. dont forget, transplanted hair is going to follow us all the way to our graves! people are flying across the continents for hair transplantation.. 16. Anonymous, I can certainly understand your pain.. when it comes to thinning i had it since about 10 yrs ago.. 3-4 yrs after your current age! I know very well what you mean.. but dont you worry, my friend, remmember, hair loss might be really devastating for someone so young, but take comfort in that there is a solution !!!.. do some good reading on this website and other internet forums... understand the technology, lookup the doctors in the internet or yellow pages ( as at this time, i dont think doctors are being recommended beyond North America ).. match their knowledge with the what you learnt.. and off you go.. before you know, you are in control of your life... Good Luck, be happy Signature:Please click here to vote for the doctor you would go to if you needed a hair transplantation today!

20. Tedd, As you probably already know, you got nothing to worry, shock-loss is temporary unless it is the hair that is extremely miniaturized and would fall in a few months anyway.. but some recommended doctors who i spoke to claim that even miniaturized hair is goin to grow back if you had started using propecia.. Good luck to you my friend..
21. dude1, i may be too late or maybe not.. but I think you should have a consultatio with Dr. Robert True.. he is still among my top 3.. he seemed very professional, explained everything very patiently - i had a whole lot of questions on all kinds of options, not pushy at all..
22. Blake, I felt the same way.. women can even have an eyebrow transplantation and everybody would be quiet even if they know there is something diff. with their eyebrows.. maybe because they are afraid she is going to feel bad or uneasy if asked or whatever... my question is doesnt a man feel uneasy ? what is he, a rock? i just dont get it... Tedd, you took off for 2 weeks and still people asked questions about your head ??
23. Teddw2ds, I was only kiddin.. I know you have been really giving back to the community more than many guys out here with wonderful before pics..( and hopefully some wonderful after pics soon.. ) PD
24. Foreigner, You look wonderful.. it was wise to have chosen a bit higher hairline.. how many grafts and was it only in the "frontal scalp" or "mid scalp" too ?? Good Luck !
25. Pete, I personally think its fair to ask "How they know they tranplanted x number of grafts" or "How do I know you transplanted x number of grafts" although, I would put it more diplomatically.. I wonder how our HT Veterans here verify ?? I wouldnt worry too much if the number I was told was more or less by about 100 grafts.. but otherwise, i would.. its my hard earned money for God's sake ! PD.
