  1. I have just had around 1500 grafts with Couto, your thread is making me so glad I took that decision, what he's done with you with such minimal grafts is so awesome!
  2. Hey @Gatsby thanks so much for the reply and the info, yeah I assume so, just shedding from everywhere, both donor and recipient, so was a little concerned, but happy to hear its all usual.
  3. I am 13 days post op, Tomorrow will be day 14, I am just wondering if this shedding is normal and if anyone could advise, This occurs when I apply the rosehip oil and the aloe vera, I am assuming shedding of native and implanted hairs is normal at this stage? Would appreciate the advice
  4. No I found someone in the UK with the same Kit, I will go to Madrid in 6 months for a check up only, I am British
  5. Currently doing topical finasteride 0.3ML, oral minoxidil 2.5 MG, I dermastamp on sundays, but have stopped for the moment, and then will be doing the high yield PRP for the next four months, not for regrowth but to keep the recipient fertile.
  6. HI Kacan, sure thing I can do that, Will post tomorrow... as for the before picture let me see what I can do
  7. Why were you vacillating? Yeah he does that, but I would assume you have to be on meds first so you dont lose the existing as much as possible, He did it for me, but minimally and they were miniaturizing hairs already, but were quite bullish they may survive with the meds and the PRP. One thing I will say is that Couto is very cognizant of future loss, because if it was down to me I would have been greedy and had like 3k grafts and implanted throughout my existing to make my hair super thick. He out right refused and was correct, his philosophy could be stated as, you can always add more, when you have supply, but you cannot add more if unpredictable hairloss becomes aggressive and you no longer have the supply and now have to make less than ideal decisions.
  8. Thank you dude means alot... I am surprised by the lack of redness tbh, it was something I thought may affect me, but surprisingly I would simply put it down to the Dr's carefulness with the way he treated my head, I have shed some hairs also, but nothing major, but getting ready for the shed 😢
  9. Hi Everyone, I just wanted to update after scab removal, which I completed yesterday, today is day 11 and as instructed I have started to apply Aloe Vera non-alcoholic gel in the morning and Rosehip Oil in the evenings for the redness, which surprisingly in my opinion is not too great at the moment. In my opinion it is mainly more prevalent in the first couple of 'hairline' rows. Other than that its nice to see the design and the directionality of the hair is inline with my existing hair. I have taken some pictures under a harsh flash and some without to provide both options to everyone. Thanks Diff
  10. I have a quick question regarding doubles placement? Is it normal for doubles to be placed after the first row in the hairline or would this be regarded as a mistake, I am going to post my pictures after scab removal, but was just wondering as I think I may be able to see a double, maybe one row or one and a half rows after the hairlines singles?
  11. Im hoping so, but his NW2/3 results with lower grafts always seem to be good, but wont know until I go through it Dr Ahmed is awesome, but I got a quote from him and it was around 30-35k which is worth it sure i wont deny because he is involved in everything, but at the same time, Couto's hairlines for me and my face + his approach to placing the hairlines are more inline, meaning I didnt have to end up shelling that amount of money. But if it wasn't going to be couto, it would have been Munib Ahmed
  12. thats awesome, ill check your thread, if you have time can I PM you for some questions I have. BTW the new clinic is awesome!!!
  13. Hey Evans Lawrence Agree with all you say also, I think the design is great, its a little lower than original but only marginally, and hopefully will frame the face, have you met Couto?
  14. Dude i would check for alopecia areata, like the dr said above, because then hairs will be dormant, and you would just be implanting over hair, I have had it twice, once in my beard and once in the back of my head, I would look for momestetone fumarate (probs spelt wrong) and use it very sparingly, and wait and see, if after a month or two you have small hairs sprout you should be all good. Also because its a steroid cream, do not pile it on thinking more is better, just a little touch daily. This is because if you use it too much it may end up having a paradoxical reaction. If its simply a scar, then go ahead.
  15. No extraction was done by someone else, I was talking about the sites and implantation, for me the extraction was great, Esteban was lovely and trained under Dr couto for over ten years in my understanding
  16. did you start taking oral minox right after the transplant ? was this recommended by the dr?
  17. Not 100% sure yet, head is still kinda bulging so cant measure accurately, but will measure when all the swelling has subsided
  18. Hey Skimzee, just wondering if you went for your second procedure, or have an update on the first transplant? would be awesome to see
  19. I just had my surgery with him, he did everything except the last 2/300 grafts in the mid scalp, so you will be very hard pressed to find a surgeon like Couto and one who does everything themselves
  20. If you're willing to wait, I would say wait for Couto, I just had mine done on tuesday, Its early to say, but so far from what I have seen/experienced, it was worth the wait.
  21. Yes he did, if you see the 5th picture, we discussed lowering the hairline a smidge, because I felt like it had receded quite significantly, and affected the proportions of my face, but we did not end up going as low as that, if you look at the implantation pics, its just before the line rather than on the line. The Hairline was outstanding for me, when i looked at it in the mirror and was really happy. But he discusses it with you and is open to suggestions, based on how he believes your hairloss is progressing and will progress. He stated that I was stable, from where the hair was considered miniaturised, and from the fact that I had regrowth in areas that when we had the consultation a few months before, were less filled. But I would say, make your opinion known and it will be heard
