  1. The simplest answer is the correct one usually. I looked at your pictures and sorry but it doesn’t look a good job the first time even. 2k grafts is a lot just for hairline and you still had bad density. Not every surgeon can dense pack, it’s a difficult skill. It could be as simple as your surgeon messed up and killed the native hairs, you can’t just implant into existing hairs without a care. Some surgeons refuse to transplant to diffuse thinners for this reason. If you’re absolutely sure of your surgeon’s skills and he didn’t kill your grafts then it could be shockloss which takes few months to recover. It doesn’t look like shockloss to me honestly, sorry. Hope to be proven wrong though By the way dutasteride is super strong, even topical it does get into bloodstream. So if you can tolerate topical dut, have you tried finasteride? You might be able to use fin fine which is a much better drug than dut because it doesn’t inhibit testosterone
  2. It’s probably Minoxidil. Finasteride doesn’t cause massive sheds. By November, it should have all grown back up. 3 months is visible hair cycle
  3. You will look like you had a hair transplant. Sorry, 13 days is too early and humans heal very slowly.
  4. Your hairloss isn’t severe and your donor is plenty. No issue
  5. I would recommend Dr Pekiner! He’s extremely ethical and good person so if he can’t do it then he will say so.
  6. Seems like shockloss You have so much donor hair and they still managed to give you shock loss and extract in such a crappy manner. The good thing at least is your hairloss isn’t severe so once the shockloss recovers it shouldn’t be noticeable. Don’t ever let go of medication
  7. They behave the same way they did on face and slowly change to match the characteristics of the scalp. I suggest reading Gatsby thread, the things he explained is happening to my beard hairs as well more or less at the same rate.
  8. 2.7 euros for scalp grafts 2.8 euros for body/beard grafts I don’t feel so hot this time around, strange feeling of depression, almost nauseous and dizzy and barely able to sleep trying to protect my crown from touching anything. I thought the second time would go easier but it’s been horrible. Maybe it’s the Ankara heat getting to me. Oh well only a few more days of this horrible feeling. I should be ecstatic afterwards, don’t have baldness anymore thanks to the good doctor’s hard work.
  9. I had a good experience it must mean everyone else has wrong expectations or don’t understand how hair transplant works. That’s not how this works mate, you seem to be a shill
  10. Lol sorry I was so disoriented after my surgery. Read that wrong
  11. I don’t know about effectiveness. But the biggest concern should be pain. You have to lay down on your face when they’re extracting grafts and a lot of pressure put on your chin. Do you think you will be recovered enough after chin surgery to handle such pressure? Coupled that with the anesthetic, swelling after surgery all of that combined makes you pretty cramped and sore at times so it might make things very painful for you. I don’t believe it will hinder your transplant results though if you eat good and get vitamins etc.
  12. Wow, this is exactly like mine with early growth at just 6 months, I think we may have had very close dates. But I mean what else can you expect when you go to the best that is pekiner! 😀 Congrats and happy growing!
  13. You chose well bro! You’re going to come out ecstatic after the surgery InshaAllah ( God willing ) Dr Pekiner is the best and we are quite the lucky ones to get booking. I have a feeling he’s soon going to have extremely long waiting times.
  14. Vitamin D3 - 10,000 units once or twice a month according to my vitamin D levels. I was deficient first and took 10k units twice a week, now a little over recommended level so reduced to only once a month. Extremely important vitamin, I had a massive burst of growth after correcting deficiency. Biotin, iron, folic acid, multi vitamins with minerals. Finasteride 1 mg daily Anti-oxidants every now and then. I don’t know if they help or damage hair growth but I take them for general well being. Avoid vitamin A. Once or twice a week perhaps. Vitamin A isn’t a good vitamin for hairs but for eyes/skin it’s fantastic so I do take it but mostly avoid. Nizoral shampoo Thats pretty much it. I think Finasteride and Vitamin D are the real game changer. Biotin makes my hair and nails grow really quick but idk if it helps new hair pop up.
  15. I can only really recommend Dr Pekiner in Turkey and he’s in Ankara. Maybe save up money and do it in a few years time with Dr Pekiner? That is if your real life situation permits.
  16. So I just finished last day of my second hair transplant for crown coverage chilling in my hotel and I thought I would write about my experience. Before I start I want to thank Alex, Dr Pekiner’s assistant for being so helpful and patient with me. When he told me there was a cancellation I quickly jumped on the opportunity to come after waiting for so long to get my second procedure done for crown coverage done. Meeting Dr Pekiner for the second, I was reminded of his friendly smile, truly the nicest person you will ever meet. He was pleasantly surprised at how well my front (hairline + midscalp) transplant had grown especially for just being at 6 months. The master of hair transplants marvelled at his own work hahahaa 😀 He told me there’s more to come in the coming months and I was obviously ecstatic. When it came time to planning, he told me I look 5 years younger and like a different person 😀 and I really do. Nobody can tell I had a hair transplant and had beard hairs transplanted at that, such is the magic of Dr Pekiner’s work!. Surgery went pretty much the same as last time, the anesthetic made me feel weird and dizzy. I didn’t sleep much through the surgery this time, last time I slept through all 3 days of surgery hahaha. I knew what to expect but still you can never get used to the anesthetic shots, they aren’t that painful especially the scalp ones but you can’t get used to them. The beard injections are extremely painful, Dr Pekiner would say sorry whenever he saw me visibly in too much pain and I soldiered through it. They don’t last long and it’s just part of the process. The doctor managed to get 3000 total grafts, around 2000 scalp and like a 1000 beard grafts I think. I was amazed actually because I didn’t think I had that many grafts left in my scalp. During the first surgery, I came to realise how bad my hairloss and donor actually was and despite that, I recovered so well you couldn’t tell my donor had 3000 grafts taken the first time. And now another 2000!. I can’t thank Dr Pekiner enough for agreeing to see me so early!. But it was super important to me that I get my second surgery asap due to some family/fiancé situation. Again tusk just shows what kind of a nice person he really is that he understood and was sympathetic to my situation and accommodated me well. I can’t think of many doctors especially of his calibre who would be so nice. I don’t have a lot of pictures on my phone right now unfortunately, I deleted them because iCloud kept bugging me and I wanted to have free storage so I could take pictures of Turkey while sightseeing 🇹🇷, when I get back home I will post if requested. But I was a complete bald NW5 hahaha and so first surgery had upwards of 3000 grafts implanted in hairline+midscalp and now second surgery around the same on crown. Month 5 (couldn’t find more recent, maybe clinic will send me the professional quality ones they sent). Big change from month 5 to 6 I am still dumbfounded how I now have to have a comb and go to hairdresser now hahaaa just few months ago there was nothing there. I will post the crown pictures once I get the slight face swelling down, I look so fat hahaha. I am so happy I went with Dr Pekiner. Last year was such a big waiting game but it turned out to so well worth it. Really! I can’t express how grateful I am to Dr Pekiner and it’s only fate that I managed to get my surgery done with him despite all the difficulties. I couldn’t even think last year I could get a booking with him because of my financial situation and other real life difficulties. I had been following his results on the Italian forum and that’s when I wished I could my surgery with him. So like many other people’s advice here, chose the doctor that you like and don’t let your budget or waiting time be the deciding factor because in the end, you’re going to come out happy like I am 😀 We discussed the possibility of third surgery perhaps to add density to areas lacking but maybe it won’t be needed. The front is continuing to change and grow and doctor implanted more than he thought he could from pictures on the crown, several hundred more grafts so the result should come out pretty fantastic. I can already feel hairs on my crown hahaha, it’s such an exciting feeling to have hairs again. Now to get through the annoying first two weeks of caring for newly implanted grafts and pray to God that I don’t damage them.
  17. Just BS and the doctor trying to sell you on a dated technique he does.
  18. What is the start of the video hahaha, I thought I was watching an ad for some racy app.
  19. At this point stick with finasteride. Even if hair transplants can fix and add some density, it’s not worth it at this point. If this progress in a few years then get a HT.
  20. Way too early. Month 4-5 is where it starts to happen
  21. Holding solution I imagine because we took a small break after extractions.
