It's been 20 years now! Hasson & Wong way back in 2004, offered me a possibility, where i didn't know one existed. Much turmoil in my life at that very moment, but i decided and moved forward. Uncaring of what "people thought" or would think. But rather, for me. I wanted this and dammit, this time I'm taking it. Victor Hasson is a very coherent doctor, having invented cutting blades specifically for each patient's unique hair characteristics, by itself is amazing. But his work speaks for itself. Allowing yourself to become obsessed over something that's good for you...is fun. I dove deep and found myself observing actual H&W patients for about the 8 month waiting period for my first surgery in real-time during that period, and watch them have procedures, heal and then have that "after-photo triumph". And then, i became one of those very patients. I wanted to share my journey while it was happening for others to follow and get answers and inspiration from. I wear my hair buzzed these days and i love it. Honestly, it's still the best decision I've ever made, for myself. Peace! 🌱✌

You look great man. You are the best example that if you do your research and choose the right doctor this can be a life changing procedure. Enloy your look!

  2. Seems like really bad work. To fix the donor area the best choice is fue into the overharvested area but in your case you have a relative small area only on the back of your head that has been overharvested. The best strategy in such cases is to to a strik aka scalp reduction into overharvested donor area, that will reduce this area almost at half and with these grafts you can do a donor restocking in the rest of the area. Doctors like Hattingen hair or Hasson and wong are good choices fur such repairs. Your case is really a rear one.

  3. They over harvest your donor because they didnt spread the extractions. This can be fixed with many way but this will cost you time, money and you will need to be patient. Where didi you had this done and where are you living?

Hi jjalay anyone recommendations on surgeons in US and outside US

You have to adjust your goals if you are thinking about having another hairtransplant. Your donor is compromised and i think the best thing you can do is use the remaining grafts from your donor scalp with beard hair to cover the hairline and midscalp. In us konior is the best choice you have but he is really expensive. In mexico luis nader is a good option. Otherwise you can look at doctors in europe like bisanga, lupanzula, maras, pinto, couto. They are all great with donor management and in using beard grafts.

I think the same way. That's why I want to keep the graft count as low as possible in the next operation. Additionally, I would like to have reserves in case the front isn't as dense as desired or if there is fallout when I reduce the dose of finasteride.

I don't know how to get it here in Germany, but I also didn't ask my dermatologist yet, maybe it's possible.

I have side effects, so I think that 1mg is too much for me. Therefore, I would like to try reducing the dose somewhat.

You should really wait for 12 months after committing to another surgery. Then you will have the end result and you will be able to decide how to use any grafts left, depending of the result of the first surgery. If the result is not satisfactory and you are going to have a second surgery for the crown 6-7 months after the first surgery you will have zero estethic benefit. Also i think you should get a second opinion about your donor reserves. If you live in germany hattingen hair in switzerland oder doctors in belgium like bisanga, lupanzula or feriduni are great options to have an opinion about your donor reserves.

  6. It seems that you are a slow grower, from the pictures youve provided there is not big difference between the before and after 5 months result. You have to be patient and wait for the next 6 months to see how it goes. You seem to have some retrograde alopecia on the donor and being compeletely honest i dont think your donor can take another 3000 grafts per fue for the crown.

    Hello everyone,

I have been researching hair transplant clinics for a while and decided to go to Turkey. I see many alternatives from 1500USD to 15000USD. Frankly, I see very good results for 3000-3500 USD, but doctors with a price of 10000-12000 dollars are generally recommended in the forum. As far as I can see, not all of these doctors' results and comments are actually good. On what basis are recommendations made? What are the points to consider when making a choice? What are these doctors good for doing differently? What are others missing? While Turkey is so famous for hair transplantation, are all clinics really working poorly except for 3-4 doctors? I found a few good alternatives around 3000 Euros, but I'm confused by people's prejudices against other clinics here and on the forum. What are you thinking ?

    Tamer Sam

    Best Regards

From your initial post i understand that you dont know much about this industy, its shady and money driven in most of its part. Do a better research in this forum about doctors, results, hairmills and butchered patients with irreversible damage and then you will understand that its crucial either to find the best doctor that you trust for your case, regardless of the money, or not to have surgery at all.

He didn't use any beard grafts. This was 3510 scalp donor grafts. You don't have unlimited donor. It looks like he had slightly more native hair in the area that wasn't transplanted plus when you figure in that he combs his hair to the side, it may have made sense to leave that area alone to get more grafts where he would need them for the best overall coverage rather than spread them out and end up looking thin all over.

His donor looks like he had enough grafts to cover that area too. This area is preety bald in the pictures and preety big also. If he ever decides to cut his hair short he will look as if his hair got on fire in this spot.

@jjalay @Berba11 I’ve received this from the Westminster Medical Group, looks as though nothing can be done in my case, even if I was to receive a HT it might not even work, I have a feeling it won’t as I’ve have this for so long as was to embarrassed to to go to the doctors to do anything about it. IMG_0717.thumb.png.38a9092981f7da22751998c593ec8ee0.png

If you have traction alopecia and no other skin issues this is not a no go for a hairtransplant. I think you should consult with the other doctors and then make an informed decision. Again there are cases with hairtransplant after traction alopecia where the result turned up really nice.

Being the best doctor doesn't excuse a lack of professionalism or transparency, particularly when credibility is based solely on forum reputations in this era of bots and online manipulation. It's essential to directly communicate and build trust. I've seen discussions on another forum suggesting his business might have closed quickly due to tax issues. Any verification on this matter would be highly appreciated.

He is booked for atleast 1 year ahead, if you want to get in contact with him you will have to go through his rep.

Thank u…. Dr Reddy is way too expensive for me 🙈 for my traction alopecia I will need about 2000-2500 grafts so I’ve been told.

Do you have any suggestions for Europe? India is out of the question as I have two young children and can’t travel that far

In europe you can look at hattingen hair in switzerland for fut, bisanga and lupanzula in belgium, raphael de freitas and couto in spain, bruno pinto in portugal. These are all great options. If i were in you a would prompt for fut though, this is the way to go for a hairtransplant by women.

Hey…. I took your advice and reached out to Dr Ball, Dr Mani and another Dr that was recommended on this forum Dr Miln. I’m still waiting to hear back from Dr Ball, Dr Mani I have a consultation with him on Monday and a video call with Dr Miln too.

I've had a consultation with Dr Jyotsna Kumari at the Liverpool Hair Transplant Clinic, she sent me some pictures of female patients she has worked on, has anyone heard of her? Her Trust Pilot reviews are all good but her google reviews are hit and miss.

I've also reached out to Eva Proudman.

I"ve never heard of the other two doctors you are mentioning and if you cant find any independent reviews about their work its better to avoid them, truspilot or realself reviews are in many cases fake ant not trustworthy. Another doctor you should have a consultation with in the uk is doctor raghu reddy. After having consultation with these doctor ask them to show you results of their work and you can proceed witht the doctor you feel confident with. On the other hand if you are still not sure you have other great options in europe too.

Hello guys, I had a hair transplant in Spain 20 months ago for frontal area involving about 2.4k grafts. The density is great and the donor is in good shape, but the hairline is not as natural as it should be: angles, some grafts been too thick, some doubles. Even though the result is not a disaster, I am not happy with it.

As a conquence, by the 9th month I started searching options for a repair. I had an in-person consultation with dr. Lorenzo and send pictures to other european doctors. Among those, my main choice was and still is dr. Bisanga, because I really like his approach in other cases similar to mine: one (or two) session for removal, another one for implanting in the hairline. No rush, step by step. For that reason, I sent my pictures via their web and I was derived to their regional advisor. He mentioned me that it would be better if I could have a in-person consultation and suggested me visiting another hair transplant doctor in Spain (the advisor also works for this other doctor and I do not know whether he has affiliation with BHR), so that he could send his diagnosis to dr. Bisanga. This other doctor, after examination said that I could 1) remove by laser the first cm and implat there; 2) lower the hairline by another cm. I asked about punching out offending hairs just like dr. Bisanga does, but this doctor said "removing grafts from the hairline is not feasible, no doctors do that, they are implanted different than native and doctors can not extract them properly, it produces scarring, no no no, better use laser". And I was completely lost. Anyway I let my hair grow and decided to wait some months.

Last month, encouraged by other recent cases, I sent new pictures to the clinic but the one who answered me was again regional advisor stating that the only options are those mentioned above by this other doctor. To me, it is quite odd, since I feel this would not be, by any means, dr. Bisanga's diagnosis and approach.

Could anyone recommend me what to do?

    Thank you.

You should plan a consultation in person with bisanga in belgium. Another god option for such repairs is lupanzula in belgium too. You can plan having multiple consultation in one day and then make your decision.
