Hi, I’ve done the HT surgery exactly last week and today I washed my hair for 4th time, but the shampoo I’n using makes my scalp super dry and my heir becomes as rough as I can’t touch it. It bothers me so much specially in donor area! Also when I used saline Solution it start getting hot and burning!
Do you guys have any recommendations for make it better? I can’t handle it anymore! In my first procedure, I used baby shampoo which caused some flakiness but in my second procedure, I used dove shampoo which I've been using from the last 10 months, didn't face any issues at all.

@Ramin In my case,Salaine water which provided from the clinic was Sodium chloride 0.9%
I think you can use that one ^

The scalp donor came from the upper sides where the hair is longer to cover the shaved area. See pic below. When I brush my hair down you don’t notice the shave.
Got it, because of growing hair long that area isn't noticable. Best wishes👍

@aforali98 No his follicles can not be used. If money is not issue you shouldn't be limiting yourself only in Turkey
you can look at Dr. Pittella, Dr. Zarev & Dr. Sethi

@Ath I don't think it would be wise to schedule your hair transplant in this way. You can check forum recommended surgeon list here. In my opinion, Dr. Bicer, Dr. Yaman would be an option to look at.

@AGL77 looks good, I think for a small procedure going for a non shave procedure was a correct decision. Who was your surgeon this time ? By the way, did they extract 180 scalp grafts by trimming the lower part of the donor ? 🤔

I don't think 1500 grafts would be enough. I was disappointed when they said this number after looking at my donors trimmed pics.
If possible go for the in person consultation.

I followed my surgeons directions after the surgery.
Im just surprised it didn’t go away over a year after surgery.
Id like to listen to the dermatologist I saw but I just am not confident they are familiar with hair transplants and worry daily nizoral would be too harsh on my scalp and head, especially as I have a 2nd surgery planned in a few months.
Yes, Using nizoral daily would be too harsh for the scalp

Sides after one application sounds like a nocebo. Xyon by design doesn’t penetrate immediately. It takes several applications without washing your hair before it could even get absorbed.
^ I agree, this could be due to nocebo
Got sides from oral fin even after using 1 mg three times in a week. Recently switched from oral to topical fin solution. I feel like I'm having nocebo effect. I think for every medications using for few months would give an idea how it's responding.

Yes trim with zero guard.
I think 1500 grafts would be manageable, as you've mentioned above

@akmhtc I think with another procedure issues with crown would be sorted, best wishes👍

@Hair-here In my case, I didn't clean my scalp properly as a result it caused oilyness. I think you can start of by using regular shampoo every alternate day. If there's no improvement, use nizoral twice in a week

@bigmistake is this your condition after trimming your donor ?
-
@SY7 yes, completely normal. Don't worry

Hi
What is the general consensus on PRP post transplant?
Everything I read suggests it 'aids recovery' and helps with density, so is the thinking more that this accelerates results rather than improve the final outcome?
And does it in anyway reduce scarring (I had FUE 2500 grafts so not expecting much scarring in the donor area, but obviously if it helps, I'd be interested)?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I think for the donor doing nothing would be the best idea. Give it time, it'll recover.
And regarding prp after HT, I think you should follow what your clinic suggested. In my opinion, it accelerates growth but has no impact on the final outcome.

@Approach I think if it is Dr. Pittella I'd definitely proceed, because I've seen some great results in higher Norwood cases with poor donor.
-
@jeeb1801 from now on you'll see gradual growth month wise, best wishes👍
-
@MazAB I think with that length your hair looks absolutely perfect 👏

If you want to start off with FUE then I think you should just focus on the FUE. If you leave an area for possible FUT later then you're leaving out the best grafts with the most DHT resistance. I don't think that's the best idea. I'm saying this as someone who is still a fan of FUT in some cases, but at the same time not using the best section of donor doesn't seem like the thing to do. In fact the biggest reason I'm still OK with people choosing FUT is because it takes the grafts with the best chance of long term survival. Why skip those grafts?
^ completely agree, I also think that if you start off with fue you should entirely focus on it

Greetings everyone!
My hair loss has been continuing for 4-5 years and I have decided to have a hair transplant. Which method do you think would be right for me? I'll be in Istanbul for 1.5 months due to my job. Which clinic do you think I should have my hair transplanted? Thank you in advance for your recommendations.
Would you like to share few more photos from some other angle ?

don't think i personally have any pics of right before the procedure, but I took some pics after 35-40 days of growth in january to send the clinic which I attached
From oral min I feel like I've definitely noticed growth at least in the area between the back of the head and the top of the head where it starts sloping downwards. I feel like there has also been some growth on the top, but we'll see over time if that is true / continues. Also feel like the growth rate of my beard has increased somewhat. Didn't notice any differences healthwise
Got it, in my case also oral minoxidil improved my beard hair.

I think so. But super busy this year. It might be a 2025 job.
I just looked at your log man. Your results look great. Congrats!
Thank you ! I’m happy with the overall result so far, but I’m concerned about one particular area. I’m considering a touchup after month 12, let’s see.
Super dry and rough skin after post HT wash
