  1. Lack of symmetry comes up on a regular basis on the forum.

Normally patients are concerned one side is more developed than the other or the doctor's design was 'off' from the start.

I'll put my cards on the table - I believe the closer you can get to symmetry the closer you get to perceived facial attractiveness.

The clinics that fob off patients with the line asymmetry is natural. The statement is true. So are crooked noses, protruding ears, wonky teeth etc etc. all naturally occurring features but also undesirable.

Should we be so accepting of sub-optimal work?

    Thoughts?

  2. Nice progress (hairline and crown). Big improvements over your starting point.

Re. the temples. I'm a big fan of temple point restoration. As you say it gives the hairline a masculine appearance.

Symmetry: The argument goes asymmetry is natural. The statement is true. So are crooked noses, protruding ears, wonky teeth etc etc. all naturally occurring features but also undesirable.

    Facial symmetry increases perceived attractiveness.

Your desire for symmetrical temple points is spot on.

Eugenix appears to have a cookie-cutter approach to temple points. Given your hair characteristics the bold TP's are too bold. More refined (smaller)  TP's may have been more appropriate.

The good news is outside of the nerdy HT community no one will be any the wiser to our hair by hair analysis🙂

  3. The advantages of getting it buzzed off:

    1. Once it's shaved the doc can really see what's going on. They might see weak areas that may need to also be addressed.
    2. Makes it easier for the doctors/techs to work within the existing hair. if it's easier, it's easier to do a good job.
    3. Possible increased risk of infection. A shaved head will be easier to keep clean and allow the wounds to breath.
    4. Part shaves can look odd (I understand this is only a touch up).

  4. I agree with those that say you would be a poor HT candidate.

HT's are described as an illusion of density, unfortunately wont convince anyone, least of all yourself.

Personally I would beef up down the gym, add some thickness to your neck (it makes a massive difference to your appearance) and shave the remaining hair off.

You will no longer feel like a victim of hair loss but rather, a master of your own destiny.

I wouldn’t get caught up in the wording of the packages, there is quite a different mentality culturally when it comes to marketing in this region of the world compared to western markets - everything tends to be glossed with these sorts of adjectives. Just focus on the names of the dr’s and look at their results.

    Good point.

If Eugenix manufactured condoms, you know their range of sizes would be 1. Massive 2. Huge 3. Gargantuan 4. Monstrous 5. Dr Sethi's special😊

And to be clear those blood tests can be done in india if you are there a week prior. If not, you gotta do it at your country 2 weeks prior ur surgery

That's cheap for the tests but a slow turnaround.

I wonder if they could have an expedited service with a 24hr turnaround (?)

Even at additional cost it would be a useful option.

How'd you feel about the package naming?

    Room for improvement?

  7. That's a very libertarian view point.

Minox is a drug and the foams/serums have only been approved for external use.

Microneedling punctures the skin allowing some of the drug to get into the bloodstream.

For many, they are interested in the studies to see 1. Does it work? 2.Were there any recorded side-effects.

Lots of people share your view on Finasteride - who needs controlled studies - just whack it in and see if it works🙄

    • I've noticed some confusion on the site with the Eugenix tiered packages.
    • @EricEdwards kindly put up a spec. for each package (see below).
    • The reason for part of the confusion is the package naming.(The level of doctor involvement is another)
    • The 5 packages are 1. Comprehensive, 2. Exclusive, 3. Premium, 4. Super premium, 5. Dr. Pradeep Sethi’s Flagship Package
    • It doesn't follow logical progression. In English, Premium doesn't not imply superiority over Exclusive
    • Suggestion: 1. Bronze, 2. Silver, 3. Gold, 4. Platinum, 5. Dr. Pradeep Sethi’s Flagship Package.

It's not a dig at Eugenix, they have grown very quickly and the list has evolved as packages have been added rather than designed from the start.

It's a new year, perhaps an opportunity to look at the list with fresh eyes?

So my main concern now is that if the density of transplanted hair > density of existing hair, it will make me look bald in the middle and even more bald in crown - if that makes sense ?

Makes sense what your saying and there is no wrong or right answer.

If you're on the meds you give yourself the best chance of retaining your native hair behind your newly created hairline.

A decent front 1/3rd with some concealer on the mid scalp/crown, might be the best of both worlds.

Research completed cases with a similar hair type and recession as you.

thank you ! what i was not so sure was to do it after lets say a month or two  after ht. on the recipient hair. i wanted to see if someone had experience with it .

I'm sure others will chime in if they have tried it so soon after the HT.

Lots of variables in terms of healing.

The biggest concern would be infecting the recipient site.

IMO Minox massaged in using a circular motion would be less risky, while still bringing the blood to the surface to nourish the new grafts.

Then 3+ month introduce gentle dermarolling.

Increase intensity as the weeks go by.

do you have experience with it?

    Conclusion:

Dermaroller along with Minoxidil treated group was statistically superior to Minoxidil treated group in promoting hair growth in men with AGA for all 3 primary efficacy measures of hair growth. Microneedling is a safe and a promising tool in hair stimulation and also is useful to treat hair loss refractory to Minoxidil therapy.

Doctor Bansal didn't think at first that temple points would be needed - I buzz my hair really short on sides, so we'll see.

The temple peaks are about the best bang for your graft buck you can get.

They close in the amount of forehead for the cost of a few hundred grafts. Use the search to locate the discussions on the subject.

The ones that were FUT for some reason quoted close to 3500 - I am guessing it depends on density they want to go for ? Or their graft survival rate ?

As you can see my existing hair density isn't too high, I'd ideally like that matched.

The fuller your result the happier you'll be. I'm yet to read a patient journey where they complained their transplant was too dense😊

Cost maybe a consideration ie. extra grafts = extra cost.

But when you consider your fixed cost, flights, accommodation etc are the same ... the risk of extra expense of a return isn't worth it IMO.

Whatever you decide, I like the design, I'm sure you'll be happy.
