  1. Glad it works for you man. And above all without sides, bc these seem like high doses
  2. Thanks for your detailed answer! Gradually upscaling could be worth a try.
  3. Hi guys, I was wondering what would be the best moment to add dutasteride to my fin + minox regimen. The amount of hairs that I shed daily is normal (50-100 maximum), but lately I would say 1/5 of those are slightly miniaturized. Is this an indicator that finasteride should get some help from the dutasteride to block more DHT? Or is this normal from time to time? I must note that I don't see any thinning yet, so this would be a precautionary measure. Thanks!!
  4. Hi all, Does miniaturization always mean that the meds don't work properly? FYI: I'm on 1mg. oral finasteride and 2,5mg. oral minoxidil daily. Been on it for about a year now and I had great progress. Now I often see some light hairs being shed (my hair color is medium brown). Visually there's no thinning to be seen. At what point would scaling up the med intake be worth considering, generally speaking?
  5. Damn man, you look amazing considering what's happened! All the 'not a candidate' yellers should see this. Who cares that the donor area is a little thin with that recipient!
  6. Interesting points. I completely get the reasoning behind rejection based on unrealistic expectations. To clarify that wasn't what I meant.
  7. I‘m reading a lot of ‘not a candidate’ judgements on this forum, without knowing the posters expectations, while these can be very subjective. Let’s say someone has a higher norwood and a average donor (hypothetically), but his preference is to have less-ideal density hair rather than being completely bald. Do clinics tend to decline their service based on these kind of preferences, unusual as may be?
  8. Hi Tommy, sorry to hear you had to go through the disappointment of a bad result twice. Especially when you did your research well the second time.. Obviously does not look like great work, but I wouldn't say you look like a fool or anything, if that comforts you in any way..
  9. Well yes, I would say both. Harsh light and donor bit thin. I had a bit of retrograde, and oral minoxidil 'cured' it completely. You can try that if you can.
  10. Hi thmns, Yes a HT does cause scarring, but it can be very minimal depending on which clinic you choose to get a HT. Use this forum to do your research. There are two main types of medication; minoxidil (topical or oral) promotes hair growth due to better blood flow mainly. Safe to use unless you have very low blood pressure. finasteride (topical or oral) mainly lowers DHT levels and therefore slows miniaturization proces of hair follicles in the scalp. Overall safe to use, but some men experience side effects. Regarding conceiving, generally the advice is to pause the intake one month prior.
  11. No secret that Antonio Conte has had several hair transplants, but are we looking at androgenic alopecia or something else? The hair line seems unaffected by DHT if that were the case. Quite unusual, or is it more common?
  12. Topicals worked less for me than oral meds. You could try that..
  13. You look like a good candidate. Norwood 4 with a seemingly good donor. Can't say if the overall density would be very good, but still, worth while exploring options if you want it!
