  1. @HTenjoyer Sorry for the delay, here are updates ~ 8 months since procedure
  2. I'm getting a virtual trainer to help me stay motivated
  3. Possibly, I'm not sure if it would "ruin" the transplant but I think it could delay healing. Smoking is known to effect your skin, hair, nails, etc. I think for the most part, you should stop all recreational drugs, alcohol, etc, before a transplant. But ask the doctor you are thinking of getting an HT with. They'll tell you what you need to do. I would encourage to quit smoking altogether, if you're going to invest in something as costly as a hair transplant, add making a huge life change to the cost. As for the rogaine, believe me; you would not want to do until like 2 - 3 months after. Rogaine foam always made my sting skin, so I couldn't even imagine how that would feel on the recipient area. But again, you'll has this out with your doctor. Good luck.
  4. I second what @HappyMan2021 said. Also, the more FUEs you get, the more scarring (I guess kind of obvious) and this patient was quite bald. 6,000 FUE scars on the back is a lot more than 2,000 FUE scars.
  5. I think it is normal. I have some faint residual redness and it's 7 months since procedure.
  6. @NBA1622 Can you post some before and afters of your first procedure? Have you chosen a surgeon to do the repair?
  7. @Brad189 It's been 2 years, how does it look now? Can you post updated pics?
  8. I think the punch size does very based on skin type and hair type but I believe this is chosen on a case by case basis and is also influenced by the physician's preference. I believe most use 0.8 or 0.9mm punches. The "messiness" is probably more influenced by the patient, their age, any medical conditions they have, what medications they are taking, etc. My last FUE was pretty clean, a few bits of blood but nothing like the horror stories I've seen on here. Which doctor did you end up choosing? Were they recommended by these forums? Have you had your procedure yet? Hope all is well. Thanks.
  9. @kk23 Hope you are doing well, could you provide an update? It's been more than a year now, right? If you don't mind me asking, why did you choose Venus Hair Restoration? Was it because it's in the metro area and you didn't want to travel?
  10. @davidkyselica I second the call for knowing the name of this doctor. There's nothing illegal stating a place of business that you have had services at. Please, who is the physician? @Legend007 Humans make a lot of mistakes and when they make a robot, it makes a lot of mistakes because it was a mistake in the first place to make a robot. You can't fix mistakes with more mistakes.
  11. @Brad189 Checking in for an update, how are things going? Also, who was the doctor for your first procedure from ~10 years ago. Thanks!
  12. @ATWR There are none. I live in Michigan and made the mistake of going to Holt Hair Restoration in Grand Rapids. There is no reputable HT doctor in this state. I agree with @Chetman2112, Dr. Konior or Dr. Panine in Chicago or Dr. Haber in Ohio are the closest doctors that are reputable. You might have to travel even farther but I conclude, Michigan is a no go for HTs.
  13. @Faisal Alsubaie Sadly I can relate, my first HT at Holt Hair Restoration was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I hope others can learn from me as well. You live and you learn.
  14. You can find them at this website. Make sure you do your research and pick a reputable doctor.
  15. @Melvin- Moderator Thanks Melvin. I know it's too early to call but it looks good enough that I sometimes go into public places like stores with my hair styled back. Before, I had a hat glued to my head and for the few times I went to work in person, I'd have to do a combover thing. Trusting the process right now, I think around 12 months and after a few more hair cuts, it'll look good. The best its been in years.
  16. @Balding Bad Looks much better than before, it's getting there but not quite yet.
  17. @Balding Bad @needmyhairback Hey everyone, here's a 6 month update. Checked in with the clinic, say everythings going as it should. @UnfortunatePatient I also went to the barber for the first time in 5 years. He didn't notice anything.
  18. Never heard of him but I would always recommend engaging 3 - 5 doctors MINIMUM and utilizing a process of exclusion to select the physician that is right for you.
  19. In total? Probably 3,000 for the front, 4,000 on the crown.
  20. @AhmadChaudhry What he said. I'd first get on medications for a year and then decide whether to move forward. Also, I don't recognize the salad of acronyms that you have listed. Are any of these clinics vouched for by this forum?
  21. Any physician listed on this site is suitable to do repairs. Konior, Hasson & Wong; and Mwamba are physicians where I see lots of repair posts.
  22. It would but it's been explained to me that it's not feasible. I have the clinic/physician listed in my signature. I've also made posts about that substandard experience too.
