So youre right to an extent. But 2 things to consider... with a comb over, the hairstyle looks good bu doesnt stay in place with wind involved. Add to that, if I had a bit more density in the temple area, it would help with styling it consistently and making it stay in place and now warp out to the side. The 2nd thing is, I already paid the clinic a lot of money and they wont refund it no matter what. I also bought a plane ticket and airbnb that also costs $$$. So I'm stuck. But I hear you loud and clear. I also apologize for dragging this. Its that I'm very much indecisive about this given the money already spent and being nonrefundable. So hope you understand.

Theres no argument. But with all due respect, I shouldn't have to repeat myself about not being able to take meds due to my medical issue after posting it. Then insisting its still a good idea to, defeats the purpose of my health. Youre more than welcome to contribute but seriously, understand that everyone has circumstances beyond their control. Some babies are born with leukemia, people have unexplainable bouts of seizures and others are born with incurable diseases. As such you cannot prescribe the same remedy to each sufferer. It'll make things worse.

Nervous about upcoming Transplant
wprevil replied to Vancouver's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Listen dude I dont mean to add more worry to you. But getting a transplant I think is a very bad idea. I recently found out that a known celeb had 3 transplants which caused his hair to thin. This is highly worrisome cuz I'm thinking now of calling off my surgery. -
So let me get this right. If youre saying that transplants can cause thinning hair, I dont see the point to getting a transplant. In 3 weeks I'm scheduled for a transplant with a good doc. But now I'm heavily worried that the transplant will force the good hairs on my scalp to go away for good. If you have thoughts on this let me know because I'm very confused.

Perez Hilton has had 3 transplants. His result from his 1st transplant looked very damn good. The surgeries involved the front scalp by my understanding. But now after his 2nd and 3rd transplants, he's been losing hair in the front as he admits on youtube. But if he's had 3 surgeries, he shouldn't be losing hair at all. Why did he lose hair given 3 transplants?? If anything the surgeries shouldve been a locked solution at least for many, many years to come. I dont understand this phenomenon. Would someone explain this strangeness? Do most patients go through this hair loss even after a transplant? If so, whats the point to getting a transplant?

Should I Get a Transplant? Look At My Pics
wprevil replied to wprevil's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
It has nothing to do with DHT. There are cases of people who have had procedures without the aid of fin and have had amazing results 6 months postop, even more so 6 more months later -
Should I Get a Transplant? Look At My Pics

Not as skilled as a surgeon who works with diffuse hair apparently. -

Appreciate the recommendation of Rahal. But I had a friend who went to see Rahal for an in-person consultation. Unfortunately, Rahal told him that he cannot work on diffuse hair. So at this point I'm booked to see a doctor far more skilled than Rahal and is well known to work with diffuse hair. But thanks anyway. -
Hard Lesson on Surgeon Communication

Quick question involving that. What about scarring alopecia? Could docs work the scalp if its still active by any chance? -
Yeah, you're right. The bright side to this is the fact that Couto has a long waiting list. If we apply basic math, It's quite possible Couto has worked on +1000 cases (assuming 50 patients/year for 10 years or so). If he weren't a good doc, most of these 1000 patients would've flooded the forums with complaints. But only a handful have to variable degrees. So in essence, you're right and the numbers back that claim.

So says the dude with poor grammar who couldn't even attend community college. It's good to know that some of us can afford a top surgeon like Couto while others can afford budget surgeons. You'll be ok super troll.

Please Help... I'm Scared. What Do I Do?
wprevil replied to wprevil's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Yes, the process is slow. A lot of guys here, based on what I've read, report growth enough to celebrate by month 5 postop. I have to say no. But I'll still go through with it given Couto's assurance of reducing shock loss through PRP and distancing the grafts from native follicles. Yes it could as Couto indicated over the phone as he advised against it by refraining from ANY talk, article, online, etc upon the subject of transplantation. That entails being very mentally strong, highly positive and consistently disciplined. That in itself is a challenge I admit. -
Hard Lesson on Surgeon Communication
wprevil replied to Jamie_Finndust's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Huge red flag. Or, its possible that since there were more grafts estimated than initially assessed the doc figured it could turn out to be too much of a risky surgery. That sounds sus. Its good no surgery occurred since all this sounds more than strange. Chalk this up to experience which you have already, so good for you. One has to feel out a doc or situation which comes from proper communication as implied. Dont worry... in the near future you'll be able to find the right doc you feel confident and comfortable with given good communication. All the best -
Yes I'm younger than you and your point? It doesnt seem like youre relaxed. Everyone has fear. I'm sure you dont which makes you superman. Have a good one supertroll.

I appreciate your concern. But it seems like youre putting greater weight on the legacy of the doc than on the concerns of the patient. Again, I do appreciate your words and the doc would too, no question. But just remember factors beyond the control of the the doc that can drive a poor outcome 12 months postop no matter the expertise involved. Its reality unfortunately. Trust me, if shock loss didnt exist I would have had a procedure before I was born.

Wow I didnt know Elithair did this. Very underhanded. Btw how do you this? I dont think top tier clinics would bow down so low to do this also, unless I'm wrong.
