  1. I think I miss counted where I’m at! Anyway, yesterday was officially 19 weeks, or 4.3 months!!!

still a tad see through when under bright light but that will probably always be the case. Under most lights, I’m already thrilled with the results.
My intention is to grow my hair very long again so will be interesting to see what it will look like when swept back.

still getting the odd pimple here and there, but for the most part, I don’t really think about it. I’ll continue with a monthly update to help people considering Pinto.

very fine hair…. First thing in the morning with a bit of paste in it from the day before! A tad greasy.

Did Dr. Pinto tell you anything about your hairs per graft ratio and your hair thickness/caliber? Any specific observations?

I didn’t geek out that much but he said I have very fine hair. Said he transplanted at 68 hair per cm2. 🤷🏻‍♂️

so far, it looks good for 4 months. Will be interesting to see if I need more adding…

I have an appointment with Dr Pinto planned for February 2025 and the current price is certainly not 2.60€ per graft. The standard price is 3.45€ per graft

I paid 3.45, in January. He was doing a thing where, if you could go last minute, it would be 2.95, but don’t think he is still offering that….

don’t know the other doc but I would massively recommend Pinto. Lovely guy.

  4. Bruno Pinto hates that it’s getting like this. Says he has celebs offering all kinds of money to get ahead of the que but refuses to do it. We talk of ethics. £900 for a consult isn’t ethical. But, like extortionate holiday prices, during school holidays, that’s the way most people want the market to work. The more we need and want something, the more expensive it gets.

This is looking excellent @Otis james and you're only at two months! 🤩 A really soft and natural hairline. Enjoy the stag night! 👊

Thank you, mate. Yes, I’m very pleased so far. I can see lots of hairs waiting to come through properly. I think my fine hair may help with a natural outcome too.
when measuring, my hairline is roughly 0.5-1cm lower, which is what I was after. My passport photo (pre op!) shows the subtle difference in height has made a nice difference!

IMG_1092.thumb.jpeg.9d071290475b8f3bd4ba25f485a23c67.jpegI also didn’t want an exaggerated temple points, so we decided not to touch them. It feels age appropriate and natural, as you point out. Fingers crossed, I won’t need a touch up! Plenty of time ahead…

  6. I think it looks pretty good…. Maybe a tad “pluggy”…? But you’re still only 7 months. Could it be the lack of singles? I know you were worried about that early on. You’ve dark hair and pale skin, too. More difficult to get soft results, from what I understand… 🤷🏻‍♂️

  7. Morning lads. Today marks 12 weeks since my little transplant with Bruno Pinto. It feels like a nice place to be!
I continue with 1mg Finasteride and 2.5 minoxidil, daily.

I think im seeing changes already. I’ve had some great chats with friends about it. Most want to do it but aren’t quite “bothered” enough to go through with it, or get on medication. We are all different!
My intention is to grow my hair long again.

Anyway, pics to follow and I’d love to hear your thoughts.

  8. I nearly went with Ted, but didn’t due to the scepticism of this forum. At the time, he was very reasonably priced and extremely thorough in my online consultation. I’ve I’ve the surgeons I consulted with, I liked Ted the most, as a person. It’s good that he’s finally being accepted by this forum.

    Hello all,

Today its been exactly 3 months since my operation at BHR clinic with dr. Bisanga. I was hoping to see a slight improvement each month in my donor, but unfortunately i did not experience this.

    Here some recent photos:

As for my hairline, we did implant 150 grafts to add more density to the left part of my hairline. My hairline has now less density compared to before this operation. Maybe shockloss and/or shedding? I also experience some thinning/loss on the right side of my hairline. Can a shockloss also occur there even though its not close to the area of surgery?

The clinic told me that a shockloss can occur after 1-2 weeks after the surgery and will be back to normal after 2-3 months. I also saw some other patients and their donor healed after couple of weeks.

I posted this topic after 1.5 months after my surgery with my concerns about my donor. You guys still believe this is shockloss and will improve? Shouldnt i have experienced a slight improvement each month?

Ok, got to ask…. Are you taking the piss, mate?

Than You can request your primary care physician to communicate with your hair transplant surgeon to discuss any concerns or reservations regarding changes in your medication.

I live in the UK, mate. Our healthcare isn’t the best. I dont think they will time to communicate with mi surgeon. Nice thought though!
