Not sure what happened if someone can advise but I don't have functionality to add pictures to my posts anymore. Either it's been removed for some reason - OR - it's a new feature of the forum? Very weird - if someone can advise so i can upload
I'm coming to 1 year mark and here are some more pictures. For the price paid from other results of other people I think this is not a good result. I don't know what happened, I noticed it in the last 2 months July and Aug started to fall out more. You can see alot of gaps in the area where the FUE was done.
When I reached out the Hair Dr Team on Whatsapp, first they never even did any checking up on me in general after 6 months -
I asked them last a question on the 3/3/22 - they saw messages never replied
I just did an update with them last Wed, their reply was will get back to me on Friday - they never did...
I started a PRP course in London 3 sessions, obviously no advice from The Hair Dr just made my own decision to do that. Done 1 already last Friday.
Some pictures of today morning - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ptaqffxr89pyy3e/AAB3_AEsP5zjPy0_3ZELR3rSa?dl=0yep some of us having the same issue with adding photos via upload attachment, have asked this to be fixed in some other threads ...

@Melvin- Moderator have there been other changes such as removing ability to post photos? Seems a few of us are having trouble with that. Only works via a link, but can't upload an attachment from phone/computer. Thanks @GatsbyFYI

You know, I had heard horror stories about ASMED. But this work looks fantastic! For 5000 grafts, your donor looks in far better shape than mine and I had less than half the excisions. No patterned unnatural graft placement that I can see. Nothing I can critique of the surgical techniques that I can see. Now just wait for the yield.
Everything is looking good so far!
Thanks @str8-n-pluggyi did hear those stories as well unfortunately mostly “after” the surgery and finding this forum. Fingers crossed, it seems to be progressing nicely ..

I would keep up with the updates for all areas, you could be one of the luckier ones 😉 As you’re already ahead of the timeline for growth let’s see 👍🏽👌
Thanks @Britaliani took a photo with no light yesterday and it sure is flattering! Also can now slightly comb the hair in an old school side parting … also @Gatsby.

This is some really good and early progress. As @Gatsbyrightly mentioned the crown will usually lag behind in terms of growth, and carry on improving up until 18 months approx.
thanks @Britalien. One of friends has had three transplants and even suggested not bothering with regular crown photos as it would just get frustrating…

Three months has been ugly duckling still in my experience. You are right on point and then some @IMM1979. The crown is always last to show up. 👌
Thanks @Gatsby. Yeah seems in the last few weeks friends and colleagues have noticed some big changes . Main thing is they say it looks totally natural, which hopefully is a good sign!

Personally I think you should take surgeon recommendations mentioned above with a grain of salt. I have been on this forum for less than two months, and there are tens of thousands of clinics in the world, yet the same handful of clinics keep getting mentioned. Which also implies you won’t be able to book a procedure there for a while.
Hair restoration is not rocket science. Speak to some doctors and they will tell you the same. I recently went to a “hairmill” in Turkey for my procedure, yet after less than three months I get told by friends and colleagues that my hair looks fantastic. The same clinic was a recommended clinic on this forum a few years earlier. Which tells you clearly no one on here is an expert.
If you do get serious about surgery, firstly I would never go somewhere that “requires” you to take finasteride to qualify. Secondly, find a place that is close to home, at least to get some initial consultations.

looks great @Gi29! Live in Asia too and planning to do second HT (if and when needed) in either Bangkok or Seoul. Will keep an eye on your progress! Happy growing..

what I meant is it’s difficult to tell if the cap helps in isolation given all the other routines like minoxidil, etc..

I’ve been using the lasercap, and I must say it definitely helps. I feel my hair shedding has reduced and it sped up my shock loss recovery without a doubt. Now, do I think this is all you should use for hair loss? Absolutely not. But it’s a good adjunct, if you can afford it.
Thanks for this Melvin . Hard to tell whether it’s helping but all I know is been 2.5 months post op for me and already people are noticing the changes.. check out a photo I took today ..

This April I was in Singapore on business and went in to see Dr. Harold Ma at Freia Medical. While the consultation was on the pricier side, Dr. Ma did spend a good 90 minutes with me, showing me their results, and taking me through the process and various options. Though I had already booked my HT in Turkey a few weeks later, I had not yet paid a deposit and did want another opinion.
What I appreciated most was the surgeon's candidness with respect to results expectations and the use of medications. For example, he pointed out that the actual numbers of side effect suffers from finasteride was around the 8.5-9% level, not the low numbers marketed by the drug companies. Next, he was candid about the fact that patients with more aggressive hair loss (+ older) were more likely to see less benefit from using finasteride (and had case studies to back it up). Though he isn't against the use of the drug, he does offer oral minoxidil as an alternative and showed me different case studies with different combos (or no meds) used.If you ever find yourself in Singapore it is worth seeing him for a consultation. I think this is probably most useful for those people based in Asia or Australasia. Not sure if they do online consultations, but below is the link to their website.

Received the Lasercap last week and started using it Jul 3, every other day for 30 mins. The model I am using is the HD+ model. Have read that many people do not believe in these systems work, but after some research I thought I would try it out as an adjunct treatment plan, particularly as I am opposed to using finasteride. Though this brand is probably one of the most expensive ones, I did like that you have access to the founder over email. What I do not like is that this cap does not have an auto-shut off function that is common in other brands.
Anyway, guess its tough to tell whether this will help but thought I would post some photos of it regardless.
The photos are just over 2 months after my HT....

oh i was actually asking the guy who is called "hope everything is nova" and Kevin mann a YouTuber who talks alot about hairloss. Well the only way to know if you will get side effects is to take the drug, you can always discontinue it if you do. Because I just looked at your pre op pics and you have a lot of miniaturized hair that can still t be strengthened and thicken. Also your donor area starting to miniaturize from the part just below the crown so you really need a dht blocker to prevent any more
thanks @sukh123, any recommendations for natural DHT blockers (i.e. not Fin)? I take Minoxidil right now

where are your from lol the uk, i can tell you follow kevin mann religiously, are you on finasteride btw
@sukh123 Kevin who? No, I do not take finasteride. Plenty of my friends had the side effects. Marketed as 1% but an HT surgeon I consulted with in Singapore actually told me its north of 8%...
